musikcube is a free, open-source terminal-based music player, audio engine, and streaming server written in C++. It provides a lightweight environment for organizing and playing personal music collections without a conventional graphical interface. The application indexes audio files and their metadata to enable efficient library browsing and searching. Its keyboard-driven interface allows users to navigate albums, artists, tracks, and playlists directly from the terminal. musikcube includes an HTTP streaming server for delivering music to compatible network clients. Its companion Android application, musikdroid, provides remote playback control and access to streamed audio. Available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Raspberry Pi, musikcube offers an extensible audio architecture with plugin support.
