Dorso is a free, open-source macOS posture monitoring application that encourages users to sit upright while working. It detects slouching through the Mac's camera or motion sensors in compatible AirPods. Camera tracking uses Apple's Vision framework to analyze head and body positions against a calibrated baseline. AirPods tracking measures head tilt without requiring camera access. When poor posture is detected, the application progressively blurs the screen until the user corrects their position. Sensitivity and tolerance settings allow users to customize when visual reminders appear. Menu bar controls provide quick access to calibration, monitoring status, and pause options. Dorso supports multiple displays and processes tracking information locally without cloud services or user accounts.
