Open86 is a small, modular, cross-platform x86 emulator that is currently in development.

An open-source, portable, LGPL'd set of microprocessor emulators. Some microprocessor emulators may also have LGPL'd code to test them, such as emulators. The eventual goal is portable DynaRecs and perhaps transparent Rosetta-type layers.

OpenJX is a Java XML form language similiar to Flex. In a few simple lines of XML and Javascript, a developer can create a fully featured Java application or applet. OpenJX also features a network based plugin system which is extremely powerful.

It includes a complete GNU/Linux OS and a graphical web interface for user and administrative access. It comes in the form of an ISO image that contains a fully automated installer. OpenVZ is container-based virtualization for Linux. OpenVZ creates multiple secure, isolated Linux containers (otherwise known as VEs or VPSs) on a single physical server enabling better server utilization and ensuring that applications do not conflict. Each container performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server; a container can be rebooted independently and have root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries and configuration files. Also, as MailCleaner comes as an ISO image, this is a deploy of MailCleaner on OpenVZ template format.

PConMe© is a cool hack of a virtual machine, using Qemu and Qemu manager with Ubuntu 10.10. The project has been designed to be a computing sandbox where young computing enthusiasts can experiment, explore and program without compromising the integrity of expensive hardware. The device can be copied onto a 4GB+ flash drive and taken wherever the user wants to go. Unlike other 'live installs', with PConMe© reboot isn't necessary, just plug and play. The device architecture also enables internet access and audio, if available on the host machine. We encourage you to hack this and share what you learn using the discussion forum above. Enjoy.

Plex86 is an OSS virtual machine project for x86. It can be used on its own to run Linux VMs using lightweight VM technology, or in conjunction with the bochs emulator as an accelerator to run non VM-friendly OSes.

Poe is a lightweight scripting language. The language is written entirely in ANSI C, meaning that the language is ultra-portable (i.e. that it can exist on any platform for which there is a standard-conforming C compiler). Poe is a toy language that is not, and will never be, suitable for production use. However, writing the language was a fantastic academic exercise and the source code is available freely as a reference to anyone who may be interested. The entirety of the source code was written by me, Ricky Stewart, with the exception of the parser which is generated from Flex/Bison.
