The ucsd-psystem-vm project is a portable virtual machine (p-code interpreter) for the UCSD p-System. It supports execution of Apple ][ Pascal programs, it can even display TurtleGraphics using X11.

The VM Utilities project is for the design of tools centered around the publicly-available VMware C API for use on and distributed with VMware Server.

These scripts run from any webserver (eg, nginx) on a FreeBSD host with a zpool configured. VMs are cloned from ZFS snapshot and exported via iSCSI. A qemu process on a (linux) hypervisor host is created via ssh (keys), with the qemu process being the iSCSI initiator.

VMAware is a cross-platform library designed to detect virtual machines. It is meant to be stupidly easy to use, with only 5 total functions in its public interface. Additionally, it supports brand detection. While there are many VM detection mechanisms that are already in use, VMAware features up to 80+ unique techniques to get the most accurate result possible. On top of the library, there's a CLI tool that takes advantage of the full library (see screenshots) It's also meant to be compatible with ARM, and 32-bit Windows, with C++11 support. The library also has separate MIT and GPL compliant code, allowing for licensing flexibility among proprietary and open-source projects.

OpenGL apps running inside a VM use VMGL to obtain graphics hardware acceleration. VMGL supports VMware, Xen PV and HVM, qemu, and KVM VMs; X11-based OS such as Linux, FreeBSD and OpenSolaris; and ATI, Nvidia and Intel GPUs.
