Diffuse is a graphical tool for comparing and merging text files. It can retrieve files for comparison from Bazaar, CVS, Darcs, Git, Mercurial, Monotone, RCS, Subversion, and SVK repositories.

Git is a popular source revision control system. GitForce is a GUI front-end for the git command line tool and runs on both Windows and Linux. It is designed to be easy and intuitive to use and yet powerful enough so you don't need to use a command line git.

External diff Tool is an Eclipse plugin that allows the launch of an external diff tool for file compares rather than the default built-in Eclipse diff tool. This plugin doesn't replace the built-in Eclipse tool. It only adds a new menu item to the GUI.

Codestriker is a web application supporting online code reviewing, typically diffs generated by a Source Code Management system or plain unidiff patches. There are integration points with CVS, Subversion, Clearcase, Perforce and Visual SourceSafe.

MSR Tools is a source code evolution analysis tool. It consists of a framework for mining software repositories and tools for metric calculation, visualization, defect prediction.

StatSVN is a metrics-analysis tool for charting software evolution through analysis of Subversion source repositories.

SVNManager is a webbased administration tool for servers that host Subversion repositories.

SvnStat (Subversion Statistics) generates statistical reports with graphs and charts similar to StatCvs from Subversion (svn) logs.

StatCVS generates HTML reports from CVS repository logs. The reports give developers and project managers insight into the evolution of the code base and individual contributions. StatCVS is a command line application and written in Java.

phpEasyVCS is a simple version control system (VCS) with minimal hosting requirements, namely PHP 5.2+. No database is needed. Files can be viewed and uploaded with a browser or by WebDAV, which allows you to access the files like a local drive in all operating systems. For integration with other software a REST service is provided. It is very easy to view the file versions at a specific point in time. The web interface allows you to easily compare file versions and synchronize and merge local files with the files in phpEasyVCS. It is possible to host multiple repositories and define multiple users with full, read-only or no access to each of the repositories.

SubTile is a lightweight platform independent Subversion ® (SVN) client, it runs on all platforms where wxWidgets library is available. Main goal is to provide simple and quick method to manage and organize projects under version control from everywhere without need of development environment.

syncmail is a CVS notification tool which can provide a diff for every change to a CVS repository, mailed to specified email addresses. This tool is useful for large communities to monitor activity, and is used for Python and many other active projects.

BinCoMerge is a binary files diff at byte resolution. It shows hexadecimal and raw ASCII data. BinCoMerge is seeking for common blocks from the bigger ones to the lower ones. It works by levels of minimum block sizes which are powers of 2. For example, with a file sizing between 16 KiB and 32 KiB, Bincomerge will firstly seek for all common blocks bigger than 16 KiB. Then, it will seek for all common bigger than 8 KiB, then 4KiB, 2KiB, 1024 Bytes... Because it works by levels, BinCoMerge can show some results before it finishes.

SVN Access Manager is a powerful tool for managing access to subversion repositories. The tool provides user and group management and access rights (read/write) to dedicated paths in a repository as well.

The script helps commiting changes on several branches in CVS by creating a bunch of CVS commands which the user normally would have to create himself.

Cvsplot is a perl script which analyses the history of a CVS-managed project. The script executes on a set of files, analyses their history, and automatically generates graphs that plot lines of code and number of files against time.
