Asymptote is a powerful descriptive vector graphics language for technical drawing, inspired by MetaPost but with an improved C++-like syntax. Asymptote provides for figures the same high-quality typesetting that LaTeX does for scientific text.

Synfig is a powerful, industrial-strength vector-based 2D animation software package, designed from the ground-up for producing feature-film quality 2D animation with fewer people and resources.

AutoREALM is a free role-playing game mapping program originally made by Andrew Gryc. This program is an excellent mapping program that can design castles, caves, cities, dungeons and more. New developers are more than welcome! Previously, development were using Delphi language. Some attempts to rewrite it in other languages were done, but currently (since January 2012) there is an attempt or rewrite using those technologies: _ C++11 _ wxWidgets 2.9 (will be 3.0 when it will be released) _ openGL _ pluma framework (a fixed version located on bitbucket) The design of the actual C++ code-base primarily targets clean source code and high modularity of source code, to allow easy reuse of the code and fast learning for people who might join the effort. Knotter is a highly configurable interlace designer. Interlace patterns are a kind of design historically used as a decorations in many places and by different cultures, some examples are Celtic knotworks and Islamic interlaces. Knotter aims to allow its user to design such patterns in an intuitive way and to provide easy ways to integrate the result in external general-purpose graphic software. For this purpose, designs created within Knotter can be save in a custom human-readable format and exported as Scalable Vector Graphics and in a wide number of raster image formats.

Agar provides a base GUI framework and a standard set of widgets from which graphical applications can be built which run natively under X11, Windows, MacOS, SDL and others. It takes advantage of texture and GPU acceleration wherever available. Agar can also attach to an existing framebuffer, SDL or OpenGL context and operate as a self-contained window-manager. It includes a standard library of general-purpose widgets, and is also designed to be extended externally. New widgets can be implemented as part of an application or library. Complex user interface elements can be realized often in few lines of code. Agar is also extensible at the low-level. The low-level API is documented such that modular drivers can be written which enable Agar applications to work seamlessly under many platforms graphics systems without any change at the application level.

lib2geom (2Geom in private life) is a library developed for inkscape to provide a robust computational geometry framework. It is not a rendering library, instead concentrating on high level algorithms such as computing arc length.

AniToolBox aims to be an Open Source and Free Computer Aided Animation program suite. Since the project is still in its initial planning phase, suggestions are very welcome.
