This is a collection of various check scripts for the Nagios or Check_MK monitoring system. At the moment, most of the scripts are for the Windows operation systems. Scripts for other platforms are planed and will be added shortly.

Balbec is a visualization addon for nagios. It displays host and service info either in html for the enduser or in xml for further processing. As Balbec uses nagios hostgroups it's not necessary to maintain a complex seperate configuration.

Equally, we didn't have the foresight or the money to purchase an snmp managed router, so we are unable to strip the traffic information from the router itself, rather we have to rely on the logging into our ISP, to discover if we are approaching the bandwidth limit. Bandwidth logger, runs a daemon that notes how much traffic is passing through your network interface. Bandwidth logger was written to install on a system using 'systemd' but can be configured to run under 'upstart'. An upstart script "/usr/share/bandwidth/bandwidth.upstart.conf" is included but will have to installed manually for those using 'upstart'.

ConVirt is an intuitive, graphical management tool providing comprehensive life cycle management for Virtual Machines.

This project is to develop a GUI/graphical way to create a .desktop file. Whereas alacarte can be used to do this, alacarte requires multiple creation of several launchers if one wants them in several menu areas. The menu specification allows one .desktop file to lists more than one menu location. This project doesn't support all possible .desktop formating choices, but allows the basics for someone who has a wine file, or some other program they would like to launch graphically to easily be done by locating it in the users menu structure or in the system structure (or in a custom location, like the autostart folder).

This tool only changes the file extension, meaning it changes one label for another, such as changing a .jpg to a .txt. Be careful: this is not a converter. So, if you change the label of a file from .jpg to .pdf, the file will still be an image and will not become a PDF. It can be useful for files of the same type. For example, if you have different types of images, you can make your computer see them all as if they were of the same kind.
