Since the summer of 2010, the FSAE team High Speed Karlsruhe uses Infineon's XC878 to power its electronics. The XC878 is an 8052 compatible 8-bit µC. Our dedication is to 8-bit real time applications, guaranteed by the powerful peripherals of the XC878. This project aims to publish those portions of our code, which may be of use to a wider audience. -

AvRtos is a small, preemtive, priority based real time operating system for Atmel AVR and ARM microcontrollers. It was written in C. AvRtos provides message queues and semaphores for task synchronization. It uses a static memory allocation scheme. AvRtos is nearly the smallest RTOS out there. Even pico]OS is much bigger. AvRtos can be compiled using gcc compiler. There is a AvrStudio 4 and Eclipse project file to get the example code working very quickly. -

...It's best to schedule Sunwait to run a little before the earliest opportunity for the event to occur each year - ie dusk range is 3:30pm to 10:30pm here, so it reasonable to schedule a dusk task at 3pm and allow Sunwait to pause the task for between 30mins and 7 and a half hours. If you scheduled the task for 6pm, then your lights will come on no earlier than 6pm. The sun's position is calculated using time, and position - latitude and longitude should be specified on the command line. This project is a fork from the work by Dan Risacher. Those who have read past the "Malware" warning can be assured there is absolutely no malware in this OS or in the download. This warning comes from the "netcat" binary included in the download as a DOS time client. Unfortunately netcat has code that is flagged as malware. FREESCO, a NAT/firewall router/server based on Linux and runs on a single 1.44MB floppy.
