The Photon uses an ARM Cortex M3 CPU based microcontroller. All of the code is built around the GNU GCC toolchain offered and maintained by ARM. The build requires version 5.3.1 20160307 or newer of ARM GCC and will print an error message if the version is older than this. In order to turn your source code into binaries, you will need a tool called make. Windows users need to explicitly install make on their machines. Make sure you can use it from the terminal window. The entire Particle firmware is contained in this repository. The main user code sits in the application.cpp file under firmware/user/src/ folder. Unless you know what you are doing, refrain from making changes to any other files. After you are done editing the files, you can rebuild the repository by running the make command in the firmware/main/ directory. If you have made changes to any of the other directories, make automatically determines which files need to be rebuilt and builds them for you. -

Set app volumes with real sliders! Arduino project to build hardware
deej is an open-source hardware volume mixer for Windows and Linux PCs. It lets you use real-life sliders (like a DJ!) to seamlessly control the volumes of different apps (such as your music player, the game you're playing and your voice chat session) without having to stop what you're doing. Control your microphone's input level. Lightweight desktop client, consuming around 10MB of memory. Runs from your system tray. Helpful notifications to let you know if something isn't working. The sliders are connected to 5 (or as many as you like) analog pins on an Arduino Nano/Uno board. They're powered from the board's 5V output (see schematic). The board connects via a USB cable to the PC. The code running on the Arduino board is a C program constantly writing current slider values over its serial interface. The PC runs a lightweight Go client in the background. This client reads the serial stream and adjusts app volumes according to the given configuration file. -

fzf is a general-purpose command-line fuzzy finder. It's an interactive Unix filter for command-line that can be used with any list; files, command history, processes, hostnames, bookmarks, git commits, etc. fzf will launch an interactive finder, read the list from STDIN, and write the selected item to STDOUT. Without STDIN pipe, fzf will use find command to fetch the list of files excluding hidden ones. (You can override the default command with FZF_DEFAULT_COMMAND). fzf by default starts in fullscreen mode, but you can make it start below the cursor with the height option. Unless otherwise specified, fzf starts in "extended-search mode" where you can type in multiple search terms delimited by spaces. Fuzzy completion for files and directories can be triggered if the word before the cursor ends with the trigger sequence, which is by default **. Fuzzy completion for PIDs is provided for the kill command. In this case, there is no trigger sequence. -
