It transforms XML to more compressible form and uses zlib (default), LZMA, PPMd, or lpaq6 as back-end compressor. It is similar to XMill, but has many improvements.

This project consists of two shell scrips. One splits an adb backup into several ones by app name extracting the contents of the tars to a temporal folder and then re-taring everything to get the individual ab for each android app. The other shell script uses Tar Binary Splitter to divide the main tar inside the adb backup without extracting anything from the tar, so is by far the best method. This project has a lively SVN repository for build recipes, over 1000 F/OSS softwares are available. The tool "pkgbuild" is for building packages on Solaris 11/OpenIndiana from RPM-like spec files. The tool also runs on OmniOS. If you want, you can create new style IPS packages and old style SVR4 packages for Solaris 10. The tool is not updated frequently, but the following "build recipes" for pkgbuild is updated every day. For a few hundred build-recipes see the sub-project "spec-files-extra" or "SFE". We already have stacks of e.g. multimedia players mplyer/vlc or postfix/dovecot/cyrus-sasl/spamfiltering. But there is so much more to be added! Volunteers to the build-recipes are always welcome. Fpart is a tool that helps you sort file trees and pack them into bags (called "partitions"). It is developped in C and available under the BSD license. It splits a list of directories and file trees into a certain number of partitions, trying to produce partitions with the same size and number of files. It can also produce partitions with a given number of files or a limited size. Once generated, partitions are either printed as file lists to stdout (default) or to files. Those lists can then be used by third party programs. Fpart also includes a live mode, which allows it to crawl very large filesystems and produce partitions in live. Hooks are available to act on those partitions (e.g. immediatly start a transfer using rsync(1)) without having to wait for the filesystem traversal job to be finished. Used this way, fpart can be seen as a powerful data migration tool.

phpEasyVCS is a simple version control system (VCS) with minimal hosting requirements, namely PHP 5.2+. No database is needed. Files can be viewed and uploaded with a browser or by WebDAV, which allows you to access the files like a local drive in all operating systems. For integration with other software a REST service is provided. It is very easy to view the file versions at a specific point in time. The web interface allows you to easily compare file versions and synchronize and merge local files with the files in phpEasyVCS. It is possible to host multiple repositories and define multiple users with full, read-only or no access to each of the repositories.
