iOS & OSX Syntax Highlighter
Highlightr is an iOS & macOS syntax highlighter built with Swift. It uses highlight.js as it core, supports 185 languages and comes with 89 styles. Takes your lame string with code and returns a NSAttributtedString with proper syntax highlighting. CocoaPods is a dependency manager for Cocoa projects. Carthage is a decentralized dependency manager that builds your dependencies and provides you with binary frameworks. Yes, Highlightr relies on iOS & macOS JavaScriptCore to parse the code using highlight.js. This is actually quite fast! It will never be as fast as a native solution, but it's fast enough to be used on a real-time editor. It comes with a custom-made HTML parser for creating NSAttributtedStrings, is pre-processing the themes, and is preloading the JS libraries. As result it's taking around of 50 ms on my iPhone 6s for processing 500 lines of code. -

Since JSHint is so flexible, you can easily adjust it in the environment you expect your code to execute. JSHint is publicly available and will always stay this way. The project aims to help JavaScript developers write complex programs without worrying about typos and language gotchas. Any code base eventually becomes huge at some point, so simple mistakes, that would not show themselves when written, can become show stoppers and add extra hours of debugging. So, static code analysis tools come into play and help developers spot such problems. JSHint scans a program written in JavaScript and reports about commonly made mistakes and potential bugs. The potential problem could be a syntax error, a bug due to an implicit type conversion, a leaking variable, or something else entirely. -

PHP Parser
A PHP parser written in PHP
This is a PHP 5.2 to PHP 8.0 parser written in PHP. Its purpose is to simplify static code analysis and manipulation. A parser is useful for static analysis, manipulation of code and basically any other application dealing with code programmatically. A parser constructs an Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) of the code and thus allows dealing with it in an abstract and robust way. As the parser is based on the tokens returned by token_get_all (which is only able to lex the PHP version it runs on), additionally a wrapper for emulating tokens from newer versions is provided. This allows to parse PHP 7.4 source code running on PHP 7.0, for example. This emulation is somewhat hacky and not perfect, but it should work well on any sane code. Support for pretty printing, which is the act of converting an AST into PHP code. Please note that "pretty printing" does not imply that the output is especially pretty. -

Unused
A command line tool to identify unused code
Unused identifies unused code in Rails, Phoenix, and other types of applications, improving developer productivity. By default, unused leverages a different memory allocator called mimalloc. For my local benchmarks, it speeds up execution by a significant amount (which is documented in the commit introducing mimalloc), but currently runs into sporadic issues on Apple M1 devices. If you run into issues with segmentation faults, consider reinstalling unused with the stock Rust allocator. It is strongly recommended you install Universal Ctags to generate tags files. Universal Ctags supports more languages and has native parsers for a good number of them, resulting in faster tags generation time. -

You can omit the eslint-plugin- prefix. With the default setup mentioned before, eslint-plugin-testing-library will be run against your whole codebase. You can run this plugin only against your tests files. One way of restricting ESLint config by file patterns is by using ESLint overrides. Another approach for customizing ESLint config by paths is through ESLint Cascading and Hierarchy. This is useful if all your tests are placed under the same folder, so you can place there another .eslintrc where you enable eslint-plugin-testing-library for applying it only to the files under such folder, rather than enabling it on your global .eslintrc which would apply to your whole project. -

Formats your JavaScript using prettier followed by eslint --fix
The fix feature of eslint is pretty great and can auto-format/fix much of your code according to your ESLint config. prettier is a more powerful automatic formatter. One of the nice things about prettier is how opinionated it is. Unfortunately, it's not opinionated enough and/or some opinions differ from my own. So after prettier formats the code, I start getting linting errors. This formats your code via prettier, and then passes the result of that to eslint --fix. This way you can get the benefits of prettier's superior formatting capabilities, but also benefit from the configuration capabilities of eslint. The path of the file being formatted can be used to override eslintConfig (eslint will be used to find the relevant config for the file). -
