A performance-oriented patch interface for FluidSynth
FluidPatcher is a performance-oriented interface for FluidSynth built using wxpython to create a simple GUI that allows live editing, selecting, and playing of patches. A patch is a collection of settings such as soundfont presets for each MIDI channel, control-change/sysex messages to send when the patch is selected, and midi router or effects settings. Groups of patches are stored in banks, which are saved as human-readable and -editable YAML files. This allows a musician to easily create complex combinations of synthesizer settings ahead of time and switch between them on the fly during a performance. -

Any MIDI message can be sent at specific times including patch changes, control changes.... Tracks and channels can be easily rendered in parallel and the powerful macro preprocessor handles the repetitious nature of music writing. Music is easily scored in any editor chromatically and then output as a MIDI file to quickly check and play the score on FluidSynth or Timidity for instance. Semi-random patch generator for the Audjoo Helix VST synth.
Helix Patch Generator is based on VSTHost by Hermann Seib. It loads the Audjoo Helix virtual synth, and generates random patches for it by setting its parameters via the VST API. The randomness of the patch, and the subset of parameters the generator affects can be controlled by the user. The program also provides utility functions like copying oscillators, envelopes or filters between patches, clearing the modulation matrix, or generating new sequencer patterns aligned to semitones. -
