pamtester is a tiny utility program to test the pluggable authentication modules (PAM) facility, specifically designed to help PAM module authors to intensively test their own modules.

The Software Testing Automation Framework (STAF) is a framework designed to improve the level of reuse and automation in test cases and test environments. The goal of STAF is to provide a complete end-to-end automation solution for testers.

GoogleTest is Google's C++ mocking and test framework. It's used by many internal projects at Google, as well as a number of notable projects such as The Chromium projects, the OpenCV computer vision library, and the LLVM compiler. This GoogleTest project is actually a union of what used to be two separate projects: the old GoogleTest and GoogleMock, an extension of GoogleTest for writing and using C++ mock classes. Since they were so closely related, they were merged to create an even better GoogleTest. GoogleTest features an xUnit test framework, a rich set of assertions, user-defined assertions, death tests, among many others. DUMA (Detect Unintended Memory Access) is a multi-platform memory debugging library. It can detect memory leaks and buffer overruns (or underruns) in a malloc() / new memory buffer. Automation of Unit and System Tests. Tests can be implemented in any language and on many platforms. The flexible approach enables the inclusion of many types of tests, such as memory leak checks (using valgrind), coding rule checks, complexity checks, etc. Tests are run by a simple call to hwut in a base directory of a project. In particular for C, HWUT supports make file generation using 'sos' and 'sols' modes. Remote control-able function stubs may be generated using the 'stub' mode. Test cases can be generated using the 'gen' mode, and state machine walkers by the 'sm_walker' mode. Over the last decade HWUT has matured towards a full fledged unit test tool for a wide variety of applications.

Tool for monitoring of OCI client applications [f.e.: TOAD/TOra, or any OCI-based fat client] interaction with Oracle Database. Monitors SQL statements and values passed/fetched between client application and RDBMS. Consists of simple and nice GUI [C#] and events handler [C++] with quite a lot of OCI hacking. This is a cli disk diagnostic that runs under Windows, Linux and DOS/BIOS. It is a traditional disk diagnostic in the style of diagnostics going back into the 1960's and the first disk drives. Although CLI driven, I have found it more useful that many other types of diagnostics for disk, controller and driver development than GJI based diagnostics. The command forms are terse, and it allows either use as an immediate mode debugger of drives or it can be used to form full testing scripts. It is fairly compact at 4069 lines for the main module, and features plug in IO modules at about 500 lines each for both Windows and Linux, and DOS/BIOS.
