    dockerize

    dockerize

Utility to simplify running applications in docker containers

Utility to simplify running applications in docker containers. dockerize is a utility to simplify running applications in docker containers. It allows you to generate application configuration files at container startup time from templates and container environment variables. generate application configuration files at container startup time from templates and container environment variables. Wait for other services to be available using TCP, HTTP(S), unix before starting the main process. The typical use case for dockerize is when you have an application that has one or more configuration files and you would like to control some of the values using environment variables. Another use case is when the application logs to specific files on the filesystem and not stdout or stderr. This makes it difficult to troubleshoot the container using the docker logs command.

    doctest

    doctest

    Fastest feature-rich C++11/14/17/20 single-header testing framework

doctest is a new C++ testing framework but is by far the fastest both in compile times (by orders of magnitude) and runtime compared to other feature-rich alternatives. It brings the ability of compiled languages such as D / Rust / Nim to have tests written directly in the production code thanks to a fast, transparent and flexible test runner with a clean interface. The framework is and will stay free but needs your support to sustain its development. There are lots of new features and maintenance to do. There are many C++ testing frameworks - Catch, Boost.Test, UnitTest++, cpputest, googletest and others. The key differences between it and other testing frameworks are that it is light and unintrusive. Ultra light on compile times both in terms of including the header and writing thousands of asserts. Doesn't produce any warnings even on the most aggressive warning levels for MSVC/GCC/Clang.

    speedtest-cli

    speedtest-cli

Command line interface for testing internet bandwidth using speedtest

Command line interface for testing internet bandwidth using speedtest.net. It is not a goal of this application to be a reliable latency reporting tool. Latency reported by this tool should not be relied on as a value indicative of ICMP style latency. It is a relative value used for determining the lowest latency server for performing the actual speed test against. Speedtest CLI brings the trusted technology and global server network behind Speedtest to the command line. Measure internet connection performance metrics like download, upload, latency and packet loss natively without relying on a web browser. Test the internet connection of your Linux desktop, a remote server or even lower-powered devices such as the Raspberry Pi with the Speedtest Server Network. Set up automated scripts to collect connection performance data, including trends over time.

    Ansible Molecule

    Ansible Molecule

Molecule aids in the development and testing of Ansible roles

Molecule project is designed to aid in the development and testing of Ansible roles. Molecule provides support for testing with multiple instances, operating systems and distributions, virtualization providers, test frameworks and testing scenarios. Molecule encourages an approach that results in consistently developed roles that are well-written, easily understood and maintained. Molecule supports only the latest two major versions of Ansible (N/N-1), meaning that if the latest version is 2.9.x, we will also test our code with 2.8.x. Depending on the driver chosen, you may need to install additional OS packages. See INSTALL.rst, which is created when initializing a new scenario. Ansible is not listed as a direct dependency of molecule package because we only call it as a command-line tool. You may want to install it using your distribution package installer. It is your responsibility to assure that soft dependencies of Ansible are available on your controller or host machines.

    CSS Critic

    CSS Critic

    Lightweight CSS regression testing

A lightweight tool for regression testing of Cascading Style Sheets. Your web stack should be fully testable. CSS Critic closes the gap in front-end testing and makes HTML & CSS testable - no more broken UI. For example, make it supervise changes to your project's responsive style guide so you know things are looking good. We believe that your UI will change often enough that a lightweight process on managing changes (near instant feedback, anyone?) is more important than a heavy-weight one which could offer tighter control. Also, CSS Critic aims at bridging the gap between user experience (UX) people and (UI) developers. You probably won't find an easier way of sharing your UI tests than the simple web page that CSS Critic basically is. And don't feel put down by the "CSS" bit, you may throw anything at it that can be converted into a simple image.

    Conjure

    Conjure

    Interactive evaluation for Neovim

Interactive evaluation for Neovim (Clojure, Fennel, Janet, Racket, Hy, MIT Scheme, Guile). Conjure is an interactive environment for evaluating code within your running program. The core features of Conjure are language agnostic (although it’s targeted at Lisps for now), with each language client providing their own extra tools. Here are the currently supported languages, contributions, and 3rd party plugins that add clients are highly encouraged! You can find a comparison table for all clients and supported features in the wiki. Conjure adds support for various languages through "clients", these are Lua modules that expose a selection of functions and values that allow the wider Conjure UX to interact with the target language. There’s more information on configuring Conjure to point at clients depending on the file type under :h conjure-clients.

    Criterion

    Criterion

    A cross-platform C and C++ unit testing framework for the 21st century

Most test frameworks for C require a lot of boilerplate code to set up tests and test suites -- you need to create a main, then register new test suites, then register the tests within these suites, and finally call the right functions. This gives the user great control, at the unfortunate cost of simplicity. Criterion follows the KISS principle, while keeping the control the user would have with other frameworks. Supports parameterized tests and theories. Progress and statistics can be followed in real time with report hooks. TAP output format can be enabled with an option. Runs on Linux, FreeBSD, macOS, and Windows (Compiling with MinGW GCC and Visual Studio 2015+). If you'd like to see Criterion included in your favorite distribution, please reach out to their package maintainers team. A default entry point is provided, no need to declare a main unless you want to do special handling.

    DevSec Hardening

    DevSec Hardening

This Ansible collection provides battle tested hardening

Hardening adds a layer into your automation framework, that configures your operating systems and services. It takes care of difficult settings, compliance guidelines, cryptography recommendations, and secure defaults. Running secure infrastructure is a difficult task. Although server hardening is a well-known topic with many guides out in the wild, it is still very cumbersome to apply and verify secure configuration. If you manage many server, they need to be configured properly and maintained, which is difficult and time-consuming to get right. To answer these needs for security, compliance, and maintainability, we decided to launch this project as a common ground for requirements and their fulfillment. The project founders where tasked with the challenge to automate different security requirements of Deutsche Telekom for their infrastructure. Deutsche Telekom, T-Labs and Telekom Security funded the initial research and allowed the team to open source the automation.

    Drill

    Drill

Drill is an HTTP load testing application written in Rust

Drill is an HTTP load-testing application written in Rust. The main goal for this project is to build a really lightweight tool as an alternative to other that require JVM and other stuff. You can write benchmark files, in YAML format, describing all the stuff you want to test. It was inspired by Ansible syntax because it is really easy to use and extend. As you can see, you can play with interpolations in different ways. This will let you specify a benchmark with different requests and dependencies between them. Right now, the easiest way to get drill is to go to the latest release page and download the binary file for your platform. OpenSSL is needed in order to compile Drill, whether it is through cargo install or when compiling from source with cargo build.

    ExMachina

    ExMachina

Create test data for Elixir applications

ExMachina is part of the thoughtbot Elixir family of projects. ExMachina makes it easy to create test data and associations. It works great with Ecto, but is configurable to work with any persistence library. And start the ExMachina application. For most projects (such as Phoenix apps) this will mean adding :ex_machina to the list of applications in mix.exs. You can skip this step if you are using Elixir 1.4 or later. Add your factory module inside test/support so that it is only compiled in the test environment. build/2 is a function call. As such, it gets evaluated immediately. By default, ExMachina will merge the attributes you pass into build/insert into your factory. But if you want full control of your attributes, you can define your factory as accepting one argument, the attributes being passed into your factory.

    Hiper

    Hiper

A statistical analysis tool for performance testing

Hiper is an open-source command-line tool designed for statistical analysis of web performance and page load behavior during performance testing. The tool repeatedly loads a specified webpage multiple times and gathers detailed timing metrics in order to produce more reliable performance measurements than single-run benchmarks. By averaging data across multiple page loads, Hiper helps developers understand whether performance optimizations actually improve real-world page loading behavior. The tool relies on browser performance timing data to capture metrics such as DNS lookup time, TCP connection time, time to first byte, download duration, DOM readiness, and total page load time. Hiper runs from the command line and can be installed globally using Node.js package managers, making it simple to integrate into development or testing workflows.

    Pacu

    Pacu

The AWS exploitation framework, designed for testing security

Pacu (named after a type of Piranha in the Amazon) is a comprehensive AWS security-testing toolkit designed for offensive security practitioners. While several AWS security scanners currently serve as the proverbial “Nessus” of the cloud, Pacu is designed to be the Metasploit equivalent. Written in Python 3 with a modular architecture, Pacu has tools for every step of the pen testing process, covering the full cyber kill chain. Pacu is the aggregation of all of the exploitation experience and research from our countless prior AWS red team engagements. Automating components of the assessment not only improves efficiency but also allows our assessment team to be much more thorough in large environments. What used to take days to manually enumerate can be now be achieved in minutes. There are currently over 35 modules that range from reconnaissance, persistence, privilege escalation, enumeration, data exfiltration, log manipulation, and miscellaneous general exploitation.

    Passmark

    Passmark

The open-source Playwright library for AI browser regression testing

The Passmark project is an open-source AI-powered regression testing framework built on top of Playwright that enables developers to write end-to-end browser tests using natural language instead of traditional scripting. It is designed to simplify and accelerate testing workflows by allowing AI models to interpret human-readable instructions and translate them into executable browser actions. One of its defining features is a cache-first execution model, where AI is used initially to discover how to perform actions, and those actions are then stored and replayed at native speed in future runs. This approach significantly reduces reliance on AI during repeated test executions, improving both performance and cost efficiency. The framework also incorporates multi-model validation, using multiple AI systems to verify assertions and reduce the risk of incorrect results.

    Quick

    Quick

The Swift (and Objective-C) testing framework

Quick is a behavior-driven development framework for Swift and Objective-C. Inspired by RSpec, Specta, and Ginkgo. Quick comes together with Nimble, a matcher framework for your tests. Certain versions of Quick and Nimble only support certain versions of Swift. Depending on which version of Swift your project uses, you should use specific versions of Quick and Nimble. When code doesn't work the way it's supposed to, unit tests should make it clear exactly what's wrong. Nimble makes your test assertions, and their failure messages, easier to read. Nimble provides many different kind of assertions, each with great failure messages. And unlike XCTAssert, you don't have to type your own failure message every time. All documentation can be found in the Documentation folder, including detailed installation instructions for CocoaPods, Carthage, Git submodules, and more.

    Testimo

    Testimo

Testimo is a PowerShell module for running health checks for AD

Testimo is a PowerShell-based test automation framework that simplifies writing, running, and reporting tests for infrastructure and script libraries. It provides constructs to define test cases, assertions, setup/teardown sequences, and grouping so validation logic is clear and maintainable. Designed for operations and platform engineers, Testimo focuses on verifying infrastructure state (configuration settings, service availability, registry keys) rather than purely unit-level code, making it useful for smoke tests, image validations, and deployment gates. Test runs can emit structured reports, integrate with CI systems, and be scheduled as part of regular compliance checks to ensure environments remain in expected states. Because it’s built on PowerShell, Testimo reuses native cmdlets and objects directly in assertions, reducing the impedance mismatch between tests and target systems.
