We aim to solve this demand by providing dj-rest-auth, a set of REST API endpoints to handle User Registration and Authentication tasks. By having these API endpoints, your client apps such as AngularJS, iOS, Android, and others can communicate to your Django backend site independently via REST APIs for User Management. Of course, we’ll add more API endpoints as we see the demand. -

This repository includes Dockerfile and docker-compose.yml files so you can easily setup and start to experiment with django-bootstrap-modal-forms running inside of a container on your local machine. Any changes you make in bootstrap_modal_forms, examples and test folders are reflected in the container (see docker-compose.yml) and the data stored in the sqlite3 database are persistent even if you remove the stopped container. Note that the master branch contains Bootstrap 4 examples, while the bootstrap5-examples branch contains Bootstrap 5 examples. To experiment with Bootstrap 5 examples simply switch the branch. -

Django Cachalot

Caches your Django ORM queries and automatically invalidates them. Cachalot officially supports Python 3.7-3.10 and Django 2.2, 3.2, and 4.0-4.1 with the databases PostgreSQL, SQLite, and MySQL. Note: an upper limit on Django version is set for your safety. Please do not ignore it. To start developing, install the requirements and run the tests via tox. Currently, benchmarks are supported on Linux and Mac/Darwin. You will need a database called "cachalot" on MySQL and PostgreSQL. Additionally, on PostgreSQL, you will need to create a role called "cachalot." You can also run the benchmark, and it'll raise errors with specific instructions for how to fix it. Use cachalot for cold or modified <50 times per minutes (Most people should stick with only cachalot since you most likely won't need to scale to the point of needing cache-machine added to the bowl). -

Add support for pagination in ModelFormSetView and its derivatives, the goal being to be able to mimic the change_list view in Django's admin. Currently, this is proving difficult because of how Django's MultipleObjectMixin handles pagination. -

With Django Hijack, admins can log in and work on behalf of other users without having to know their credentials. 3.x docs are available in the docs folder. This version provides a security-first design, easy integration, customization, out-of-the-box Django admin support and dark mode. It is a complete rewrite and all former APIs are broken. A form is used to perform a POST including a CSRF-token for security reasons. The field user_pk is mandatory and the value must be set to the target users' primary key. The optional field next determines where a user is forwarded after a successful hijack. If not provided, users are forwarded to the LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL. Do not forget to load the hijack template tags to use the can_hijack filter. The can_hijack returns a boolean value, the first argument should be user hijacker, the second value should be the hijacked. -

However, my team often finds that Signals introduce unnecessary indirection and are at odds with Django's "fat models" approach. Django Lifecycle Hooks supports Python 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9, Django 2.0.x, 2.1.x, 2.2.x, 3.0.x, 3.1.x, and 3.2.x. For simple cases, you might always want something to happen at a certain point, such as after saving or before deleting a model instance. When a user is first created, you could process a thumbnail image in the background and send the user an email. -

Django REST Pandas (DRP) provides a simple way to generate and serve pandas DataFrames via the Django REST Framework. The resulting API can serve up CSV (and a number of other formats for consumption by a client-side visualization tool like d3.js. The design philosophy of DRP enforces a strict separation between data and presentation. This keeps the implementation simple, but also has the nice side effect of making it trivial to provide the source data for your visualizations. This capability can often be leveraged by sending users to the same URL that your visualization code uses internally to load the data. While DRP is primarily a data API, it also provides a default collection of interactive visualizations through the @wq/chart library, and a @wq/pandas loader to facilitate custom JavaScript charts that work well with CSV output served by DRP. These can be used to create interactive time series, scatter, and box plot charts. -

You can provide your own singleton Redis connection object to this function so that it will not create a new connection object for each queue definition. If you have django-redis or django-redis-cache installed, you can instruct django_rq to use the same connection information from your Redis cache. This has two advantages, it's DRY and it takes advantage of any optimization that may be going on in your cache setup (like using connection pooling or Hiredis.) -
