    libSQL

    libSQL

libSQL is a fork of SQLite that is both Open Source

libSQL is an open-source, community-driven fork of SQLite maintained by Turso. It aims to modernize SQLite by optimizing for performance and availability, targeting distributed and low-latency applications. SQLite has solidified its place in modern technology stacks, embedded in nearly any computing device you can think of. Its open source nature and public domain availability make it a popular choice for modification to meet specific use cases. libSQL will always be able to ingest and write the SQLite file format. We would love to add extensions like encryption, and CRC that require the file to be changed. ...

    Oboe

    Oboe

Oboe is a C++ library that makes it easy to build high-performance

oboe is a C++ library for building high-performance audio apps on Android, providing a unified, low-latency API over AAudio and OpenSL ES. It abstracts device and API-version differences so developers can focus on audio processing instead of platform quirks. The library emphasizes minimal latency and glitch-free playback/recording via tuned buffer strategies and callback-driven I/O. It supports features like floating-point audio, channel configuration, sample-rate negotiation, and stream sharing to match device capabilities. ...

    Arcan

    Arcan

Powerful development framework for creating virtually anything

...The development emphasizes security, debuggability and performance, guided by a principle of least surprise in terms of API design. For the main engine there has been quite some refactoring to reduce input latency; better accommodate variable-refresh rate display; prepare for asymmetric uncooperative multi-GPU and GPU handover; explicit synchronization and runtime transitions back and forth between low (16-bit) to standard (32-bit) to high-definition rendering (10-bit + fp16/fp32).

    Unified Communication X

    Unified Communication X

Communication framework for data-centric high-performance applications

...Collaboration between industry, laboratories, and academia to create an open-source, production-grade communication framework for data-centric and high-performance applications. Unified Communication X (UCX) is an award winning, optimized production proven communication framework for modern, high-bandwidth and low-latency networks. UCX exposes a set of abstract communication primitives which utilize the best of available hardware resources and offloads. These include RDMA (InfiniBand and RoCE), TCP, GPUs, shared Memory, and network atomic operations. UCX facilitates rapid development by providing a high-level API, masking the low-level details, while maintaining high-performance and scalability. ...

    Competent Audio

    Competent Audio

Machine graph audio engine for computer games

Competent Audio (CA) is an audio engine suitable for video games. It is written in C, but is designed for interoperability with other languages. Windows and Linux binaries for x86 and amd64 are available. CA uses a machine graph model with support for arbitrary numbers of machines, limited only by the available system resources: - Samplers play back audio clips. - Mixers combine audio signals and optionally perform signal processing. - Sinks send audio signals to an output...

    sysbench

    sysbench

Scriptable database and system performance benchmark

...It is most frequently used for database benchmarks, but can also be used to create arbitrarily complex workloads that do not involve a database server. extensive statistics about rate and latency is available, including latency percentiles and histograms. Low overhead even with thousands of concurrent threads. sysbench is capable of generating and tracking hundreds of millions of events per second. New benchmarks can be easily created by implementing pre-defined hooks in user-provided Lua scripts. Can be used as a general-purpose Lua interpreter as well, simply replace #!...

    FastFlow: programming multi-core

    FastFlow: programming multi-core

    Pattern-based multi/many-core parallel programming framework

...FastFlow run-time is built upon non-blocking threads and lock-free queues. Thanks to its very efficient CAS-free communication/synchronization support (e.g. few clock cycles core-to-core latency), FastFlow effectively supports the exploitation of fine grain parallelism, e.g. parallel codes managing very high frequency streams on commodity multi-core. FastFlow works on x86, x86_64, PPC, ARM, and Linux, Mac and Win XP/7. From Jan 1, 2018 code development migrated on GitHub at https://github.com/fastflow/fastflow

    TCPCopy

    TCPCopy

An online request replication tool, also a tcp stream replay tool

...TCPCopy has little influence on the production system except occupying additional CPU, memory and bandwidth. Moreover, the reproduced workload is similar to the production workload in request diversity, network latency and resource occupation. TCPCopy consists of two parts, TCPCopy and intercept. While TCPCopyruns on the online server and captures the online requests, intercept runs on the assistant server and does some assistant work, such as passing response info to TCPCopy.

    test-tlb

    test-tlb

Stupid memory latency and TLB tester

...It walks arrays using different strides and working-set sizes so you can observe when access patterns overflow cache or TLB capacity. By timing tight loops and varying parameters, the program reveals step-changes in latency that map to cache lines, page sizes, and TLB coverage. It is intentionally minimal so you can modify page sizes, strides, or pointer-chasing strategies to run experiments on different machines and kernels. The code is useful for teaching, hardware bring-up, or validating assumptions about huge pages and NUMA placement. Rather than providing a plotting framework, it prints timings that you can collect and graph with external tools to visualize cache/TLB boundaries.
