update: https://sourceforge.net/projects/newctruck3drally/ It's a 3D, physically realistic truck/car simulator, oriented to dirt tracks. This is subsancially kept as hystorical. The environment is a hilly terrain which can also be user-defined in the form of a Bitmap image file (where intensity of red component defines height). It's similar to the classic "Terep 2". Particular care for internal cam. Written in standard C. There's a Windows executable ready for use, but it's compilable and playable on all Linux, BSD, MacOSX systems. The collection MICROMECHANICS (micromechanics.zip) includes: (1) lecture notes (microbook.pdf) on the analysis of heterogeneous materials and homogenization, and (2) source codes (microcode.tar.bz2) that accompany the computational exercises in Part II of the notes. Instructions on using the codes are given in the README file of each exercise. Further instructions can be found in the file microcode.tar.bz2. The MATLAB codes are used for visualization, evaluating analytical bounds and estimates as well as in the generation of digital and particulate microstructures. Noisy Channel Simulator
Demonstrate errors in transmission of a file over a noisy channel.
This program was written to dimonstrate errors in transmission for a presentation on Claude Shannon's Noisy Channel Coding Theorem. It takes an input file, the probability of a bit being flipped, and, if specified, the size of the header of the file. The program was intended to take monochrome bitmap files as input, so that each bit refers to a pixel in the image and thus, it would be easy to see errors in the output file, as some of the pixels would be flipped; however, it will work on any input file. -
