    Frevo

    Frevo

    Frevo is probably the simplest tool for evolutionary design

    FREVO is an open-source framework developed in Java to help engineers and scientists in evolutionary design or optimization tasks. The major feature of FREVO is the componentwise decomposition and separation of the key building blocks for each optimization tasks. We identify these as the problem definition, solution representation and the optimization method. This structure enables the components to be designed separately allowing the user to easily swap and evaluate different configurations and methods or to connect an external simulation tool. The latest version in development is hosted at https://github.com/smartgrids-aau/Frevo

    The FMI++ Library

    The FMI++ Library

    A High-level Utility Package for FMI-based Software Development

    ...On the other hand, such a low-level approach implies several prerequisites a simulation tool has to fulfill in order to be able to utilize such an FMI component. The FMI++ library addresses this problem for models and tools with interfaces according to the FMI specification by providing high-level functionalities, which ease the handling and manipulation of such models and tools. Furthermore, the FMI++ library provides utilities to implement FMI-compliant interfaces for a large class of simulation tools. The FMI++ library intends to bridge the gap between the basic FMI specifications and the typical requirements of simulation tools. ...

    Python/FEniCS Examples

    Python/FEniCS Examples

    phase-field simulation and other examples with Python/FEniCS

    The main goal of this project was developing phase-field simulations of lithium dendrite growth with FEniCS programmed in Python. The problem was based in the grand potential-based model of Zijian Hong and Venkatasubramanian Viswanathan (https://doi.org/10.1021/acsenergylett.8b01009) . Some simpler examples were developed before for a first approach with FEniCS: heat equation and combustion model.

    RTC-simulator

    Simulation and Control of Processing Plants

    ...The simulations include a number of the techniques described in Applied Process Control – Essential Methods, and that book’s accompanying volume, Applied Process Control – Efficient Problem Solving. Actually, RTC is not merely a suite of simulations: Each application can be switched from “MODEL” to “PLANT” mode for real-time control of equipment through a somewhat basic interfacing arrangement. In “MODEL” mode, time can be accelerated or frozen.

    Fortran codes for SCNURS method - Side Cut Non-Uniform Residual Stress

    ...The method is specifically designed for the measurement of highly non-uniform RS fields, including discontinuities, in plates. This project collects all codes which implement forward and inverse solution to the RS problem. The codes are in modern Fortran with OpenMP. The codes are distributed under 2-clause BSD license. The code uses Lapack (http://netlib.org/lapack), Slatec (http://www.netlib.org/slatec) and CMLIB (http://gams.nist.gov/cgi-bin/serve.cgi/Package/CMLIB) libraries. All these libraries are available as packages on FreeBSD.

    RElt

    calculates overlap, kinetic integrals for numerical atomic orbitals.

    ...The described algorithm exploits the properties of the prolate spheroidal coordinates. The overlap and the kinetic integrals in R^3 are reduced to the integrals over the rectangular domain in R^2, what substantially reduces the complexity of the problem. We prove that the integrand over the rectangular domain is continuous and does not have any slope singularities. For calculation of the integral over the rectangle any adaptive algorithm can be applied. The exemplary results were obtained by application of the adaptive Gauss quadrature. The implemented algorithm is described in my paper: "Numerical calculation of overlap and kinetic integrals in prolate spheroidal coordinates", International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Volume 108, Issue 2, Year 2008, Pages 249–256 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/qua.21485/full

    Depolarization analysis tools

    Tools for the accurate analysis of Raman depolarization measurement

    This programme addresses the notoriously difficult problem to quantitatively link measured Raman depolarization values to theoretical polarizability tensor quantities, since quantum calculations do not incorporate experimental parameters. LIME

    LIME is a software tool for creating multiphysics simulation codes.

    ...LIME is intended to be especially useful when separate computer codes (which may be written in any standard computer language) already exist to solve di fferent parts of a multiphysics problem. LIME provides the key high-level software (written in C++), a well defi ned approach (with example templates), and interface requirements to enable the assembly of multiple physics codes into a single coupled-physics simulation code. To achieve its flexible lightweight design objectives, LIME 1.0 requires that some amount of customized software be written each time a new multiphysics application is created. ...
