The collection MICROMECHANICS (micromechanics.zip) includes: (1) lecture notes (microbook.pdf) on the analysis of heterogeneous materials and homogenization, and (2) source codes (microcode.tar.bz2) that accompany the computational exercises in Part II of the notes. Instructions on using the codes are given in the README file of each exercise. Further instructions can be found in the file microcode.tar.bz2. Noisy Channel Simulator
Demonstrate errors in transmission of a file over a noisy channel.
This program was written to dimonstrate errors in transmission for a presentation on Claude Shannon's Noisy Channel Coding Theorem. It takes an input file, the probability of a bit being flipped, and, if specified, the size of the header of the file. The program was intended to take monochrome bitmap files as input, so that each bit refers to a pixel in the image and thus, it would be easy to see errors in the output file, as some of the pixels would be flipped; however, it will work on any input file. -

Framework to help researchers test their discovery algorithms. Microsoft visual studio 2008 with c# and SQL Server were used on windows based workstation. Prototype developed is called WSDis, which stands for Web Services Discovery. WSDis provides Two main menus and two buttons at the main form. Figure 10 shows the main form of WSDis. Button IMPORT imports WSDL files and retrieving their details. Button REGISTER registers acceptable web services. -

...One based on geometry objects, the second one on placing every SPH particle on it's own. It's possible to save simulations and to restart calculations from this safepoints. A tempSave-file is written to restart simulations, if they crash from an earlier point. Now in v2 an example is added with a FEM beam and a moving piston. Both are hardcoded in the code and must be changed if you want to use it otherwise. Now it can be used only 1 bar and 1 piston, for future it will be changed.
