This is a sort of reference that shows to also to the geenral public (so not only C/C++ programming nerds) how such a thing is made: vehicles on hilly terrain, obstacles, and collision with them... environment with optimised viewdistance and day/night cycle (so I mean atmosphere). -

...It has all the features that CTruck3D has but it is much like GTA 3 ... can get on-off the vehicle, and one can climb on stunt-structures, and there are buildings on which one can jump. As soon as possible I wish to put more structures, and do better climb-on simulation. Of course heightmap is editable, a 300x300 one, and also the color map is editable so one can draw nice roads... also the position of stunt-structures in easily editable. Have lots of fun! Soon more cars and better textured terrain should be available... maybe also in-game terrain editing possiblity. ... -

HighJump is an OpenSource JAVA SkiJumping Game in 2D. Today there are 11 hills where you can jump more than 200 meters. HighJump is yet a BETA version. Since Version 0.1.5 there is an Multiplayer Mode and since 0.2.6 you can jump online too! Have fun!

Open Ski Jumping is a ski jumping game in its infancy. Some features are still under development (world cup, sound, networked play), others are already present (replays, hill records). Currently you can jump on 3 hills (K90, K120, K185).
