Open Source C# Side-Scrolling Games

All-in-one program for creating 2D scrolling games. Compile your games into stand-alone .NET executables or customizable C# source code. The IDE and framework are build on OpenTK, which wraps OpenGL, so generated games can be cross-platform.

Tux Junior is a Jump N' Run action adventure game featuring Tux the penguin. Our code is a fork based on 2007 SuperTux development snapshots.

Just a simple Pong using Windows controls instead of regular ones. It is of course Windows based and was built using the .NET languages (C#).

"Hyperspace Pirates - Aliens Robbing Rum" is a 3D-remake of the classical arcade game Space Invaders. It is developed by six students at the KIT in Karlsruhe (Germany). A space shooter VR game made with Unity. You are in control of a ship and the goal is to race against the clock to get the fastest time (race), or transport cargo to get the best score (mission). All done in a narrow space cave filled with evil enemies. Featuring interactive music, realistic physics and challenging game-play. There are 55 levels and players may have their best score for each level sent to the game website and the top players are displayed there along with their ranking. The replay of the record scores are possible to view from the game for others to see how it was done. In the latest version there are 16 additional levels made by mra, all with hiscore/medals and replay. 4 player multiplayer is in development, with 4 new dogfight maps. The project is done with Unity, and is released on Steam, Oculus, and SideQuest for free.

Killer Instinct is a 2D shoot-em-up tank game with Internet/LAN multiplayer support. Written in C# and uses .NET Framework v1.1 with Managed DirectX 9.0 with 2003 Summer Update.

Camel is a game that draws its inspiration from the classic game Sopwith. Fly a fighter plane bombing enemy troops and factories and trying not to get shot down. Also, you can give orders to the troops on your side to help them win the war!

CastleEngine is a 2d platforming engine with the goal of being able to recreate Castlevania: Symphony of the Night style gameplay. CastleEngine is currently stalled, but a rewrite may be on the way so that it actually does something soon.
