Grassroots DiCoM is a C++ library for DICOM medical files. It is accessible from Python, C#, Java and PHP. It supports RAW, JPEG, JPEG 2000, JPEG-LS, RLE and deflated transfer syntax. It comes with a super fast scanner implementation to quickly scan hundreds of DICOM files. It supports SCU network operations (C-ECHO, C-FIND, C-STORE, C-MOVE). PS 3.3 & 3.6 are distributed as XML files. It also provides PS 3.15 certificates and password based mecanism to anonymize and de-identify DICOM datasets. -

Virtual X-Ray Imaging Library on GPU
gVirtualXRay is a C++ library to simulate X-ray imaging. It is based on the Beer-Lambert law to compute the absorption of light (i.e. photons) by 3D objects (here polygon meshes). It is implemented on the graphics processing unit (GPU) using the OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL). SimpleGVXR is a smaller library build on the top of gVirtualXRay. It provides wrappers to Python, R, Ruby, Tcl, C#, Java, and GNU Octave. -

Application for polynomial roots calculation. The application does the job by supposing the roots of the derivative function are known. This way, we can delimit the range where each possible root is in, and by applying Bolzano's theorem, we can find the zeroes. It is not a very eficient way, as we must calculate al the derivatives of the polinomial, implying very high numbers (n!), that make the needed precision increase, making the computational complexity for high-degree polinomials... -

Automates the building of VANET simulations using SUMO and OMNeT++
...The tasks related to the generation of abstract or synthetic scenarios, the download and conversion of network scenarios based on real maps (e.g. from OpenStreetMap), the route creation process, and the vehicles mobility modelling are integrated in a user-friendly graphical interface. This tool performs the necessary actions by invoking the set of utilities included in SUMO, saving the user from typing complex command-line orders. GatcomSUMO visualizes the network and routes easily, and they are created in such a way to meet the requirements of the involved simulators, in particular OMNeT++, in order to avoid misunderstandings and runtime errors. The application allows the conversion of the spatial coordinates used by SUMO into those used by OMNeT++, which is essential to place fixed elements like RSUs.
