QNICE is a simple 16 bit processor intended to teach the basics of hardware design as well as operating systemdesign. A TTL implementation is planned, a FPGA implementation is available here: http://qnice-fpga.com. Currently there exists a C based simulator and an assembler.
Create networks of embedded devices for data logging/automation tasks.
LabMonkey is a collection of designs for embedded devices which can be networked together to provide a range of automation, data logging and signal processing functions. A key design objective is to use as little dedicated hardware as possible for communication between nodes in the network, and to be able to adapt the network topology in real-time so as to minimize the occurrence of collisions between packets. To achieve this, a protocol has been designed specifically for the task, and...

OpenVGA is an free and open FPGA-based implementation of a VGA compatible graphics adapter, and utilising low-cost hardware. The project includes the PCB schematic and artwork, Verilog HDL, firmware assembly code, and driver source code.
This project aims to develop a prototype system that explores how we should re-invision computer systemdesign based on changes in how people get the software that they run, as well as advances in static analysis of software.
OpenWebServo is an Open Source Hardware and Software project. Its main goal is to develop a web-controlled servo system. The project includes web application, firmware and hardware design.
SECU86 is Standard Engine Control Unit x86. The project goal is to develop a standard computer and OS (opensource) that would work on any car. It'll be based on the x86 processor and will try to replace the poor standard ECU that comes with any car.
PPort is a simple yet handy automation program and its documented counterpart for interfacing a PC with external devices. With this bundle, one can control any household appliance or electronic device with minimal hassle and practically no changes
MEDDAC is the seeding point for designing a new approach to Operating Systemdesign itself. It is an Open Source project with roots in mainframe design and development the author began in 1979. Monitor Editor Disassembler Decompiler Assembler Compiler
The Simple Software Radio peripheral project is dedicated to developing and supporting open source software defined radio software and hardware. The project places an emphasis on thorough documentation and elegant modular design.
SDL REFLEX is the micro kernel of a real time operating system for the AVR microcontroller family. The kernel is especially designed to implement systems described in SDL The Specification and Description Language . Compiler GNU ANSI-C for AVR v.3.3
GNU PIC LIBRARY PROJECT
The interest of this project is to develop a set of Libraries that are released in LGPL License to use to PIC microcontroler programming.
Then any program resulted by this use would be a proprietary or free softwares.
This project implements a reduced instruction set (RISC) CPU in VHDL. It was designed for the Altera Flex10k20 chip, but the VHDL code should port to any compatable chip. The instruction set is extensive, and the design is easily extendable to 16 bits.
"DSO" is a Digital Signal Oscilloscope. My DSO will be connected via the USB to the PC. All software to operate the DSO is developed within this project.
The goal of this project is to build a centralized domotic system. This project contents three parts:
- An electronic part;
- An embedded software part (PIC Microship controller);
- A PC software part (Dotnet/Mono)
8051lib is a collection of easy-to-use C Functions and Assemble Languages Sets for the 8051 microcontroller.
The Final Goal is to make the microcontroller developer focus on the Algorithms not the Hardware Drivers.
