    MandelbrotExplorer

A program to calculate and represent the Mandelbrot set

...The user disposes of a graphical interface to control the program and modify conveniently some parameters, like the XY-scales, the XY map area, the Julia seed for the complex series iteration of Z(n+1)=Z(n)^2+a, being Z(0)=(X0,Y0) the seed, and "a in XY" the points to be calculated. The user can enter (among other parameters) the desired convergence-radius R for the series, and/or the number of maximal iterations N for the generator-equation in Z.

    Penobscot River RKM Calculator

    Penobscot River RKM Calculator

Look up in river distances in the Penobscot River drainage.

Allows user to input a .csv of UTM coordinates within the Penobscot River basin and calculates in-river distance (in kilometers) from the river's mouth to the locations of interest. The results are output into a new .csv file named yourfilename+RKM.csv. For the purposes of this calculator, river kilometer 0 is located at 516414E 4927755N in UTM Zone 19N, near the southwest corner of Verona Island. Simply download the setup file and run it to install the program. Please contact me with suggestions to improve this program.

    Musaheb

    An Arabic collocation extraction tool

...“Musaheb” is able to extract n-gram collocations up to 5-gram, in addition to extracting the collocates of the nodes (the word-types we are looking for its collocates) within a window size of zero to 15 words. Moreover, it provides eight collocation statistics to calculate the strength of the collocation, and permits the input of various constraints during node selection and collocate extraction. Based on the user preferences for the node, concordance and collocates selection, the tool saves all nodes and their associated collocates in an XML file; allowing easy conversion to different formats.

    RSchr-5

Solves one-electron Schrödinger equation, with SLEPc and PETSc

RSchr-5 calculates the smallest eigenvalues of the one-electron Schrödinger equation. The solved problem is defined on the finite domain, which is a box. The problem is solved with the zero Dirichlet boundary conditions. The implemented algorithm uses Finite Element Method with B-splines as basis functions. Disctretization leads to generalized eigenvalue problem. Program RSchr-5 solves the generalized eigenvalue problem by algorithms implemented in SLEPc amd PETSc libraries. It uses Krylov-Schur algorithm from SLEPc library. ...

    EXCAVATOR2tool

Enhanced tool for detecting CNVs from whole-exome sequencing data

...We recently published on BMC Genomics a novel software package, named XCAVATOR, for the identification of CNVs/CNAs from short and long reads whole-genome sequencing experiments (https://bmcgenomics.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12864-017-4137-0). XCAVATOR is freely available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/xcavator/. EXCAVATOR2 is a collection of bash, R and Fortran scripts and codes that analyses Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) data to identify CNVs. EXCAVATOR2 enhances the identification of all genomic CNVs, both overlapping and non-overlapping targeted exons by integrating the analysis of In-targets and Off- targets reads. ...

Bit level lambda continuations and nothing else - Queue automata

...To deal with the Halting Problem, computing and data are navigated using debugger ops: linearForward and treeForward, which navigate an astronomically large bit string where 1 is ( and 0 is ). All pairs are derived from (). For example, true is represented as ((()())()), and false is (()(()())). It appears related to the church encoding of lambda where T chooses first parameter and F chooses second, of a pair. Continuations are nearly finished code and are represented as a pair of stack and queue. The stack is a linked list of pair of true or false and object pushed on the stack. ...

    ANT.Gaussian

Quantum transport code based on Gaussian03/09

...ANT.Gaussian (or ANT.G for brevity) relies on the popular quantum chemistry code GAUSSIAN03/09 code with which interfaces in a seamless manner. Straightforwad use of ANT.G include the computation of the zero-bias conductance (or, alternatively, the electrical current under an applied bias voltage) of a variety of nanoscale systems such as molecular bridges or simply metallic atomic contacts as those created with scanning tunneling microscope or break junction techniques. The use of ANT.G may also be naturally extended to the computation of scanning tunneling spectroscopy and the simulation of scanning tunneling and electrostatic force microscopy.

    CalcMatr

    CalcMatr

Calculations with matrixes of integers or fractions up to 4 x 5

...Matrices (or their elements) and systems of linear equations can be also generated by the app, to practice with operations and propieties. The app calculates the matrix range, determiner of square matrices, traspose, inverse of inversible matrices (that is, square matrices with non zero determiner), the matrix of adjuncts, the forms of Gauss and Gauss-Jordan. It allows submatrices extraction by selection of rows and columns. Combined operations among matrixes: addition, subtraction, product, raising to a power Systems of equations up to 4 equations with 4 unknowns, also introduced by the user or generated by the app: it makes the classification of the system and the resolution in consistent systems.
