    Image GPT

    Image GPT

Large-scale autoregressive pixel model for image generation by OpenAI

...It provides scripts to download pretrained checkpoints of different model sizes (small, medium, large) trained on large-scale datasets and includes utilities for handling color quantization with a 9-bit palette. Researchers can use the code to sample new images, evaluate generative loss on datasets like ImageNet or CIFAR-10, and explore the impact of scaling on performance. While the repository is archived and provided as-is, it remains a valuable starting point for experimenting with autoregressive transformers applied directly to raw pixel data. ...

    Deep Exemplar-based Video Colorization

    Deep Exemplar-based Video Colorization

The source code of CVPR 2019 paper "Deep Exemplar-based Colorization"

...The main challenge is to achieve temporal consistency while remaining faithful to the reference style. To address this issue, we introduce a recurrent framework that unifies the semantic correspondence and color propagation steps. Both steps allow a provided reference image to guide the colorization of every frame, thus reducing accumulated propagation errors. Video frames are colorized in sequence based on the colorization history, and its coherency is further enforced by the temporal consistency loss. All of these components, learned end-to-end, help produce realistic videos with good temporal stability. ...

    GIF for CLI

    GIF for CLI

Takes in a GIF, short video, or a query to the Tenor GIF API

...It takes an input GIF (or a URL) and converts each frame into a terminal-friendly representation, timing updates to approximate the original animation. Depending on terminal capabilities, it can use ANSI color blocks or image protocols to achieve surprisingly faithful playback. The tool includes conveniences such as looping control, scaling to fit your terminal, and caching to avoid repeated downloads. It’s useful for quick visual feedback, lightweight demos, or just adding some personality to scripts and readmes. Despite its whimsical nature, the project is a tight example of frame decoding, timing, and terminal rendering glued together in a single command.

    SG2Im

    SG2Im

Code for "Image Generation from Scene Graphs", Johnson et al, CVPR 201

...The pipeline typically predicts object layouts (bounding boxes and masks) from the graph, then renders a realistic image conditioned on those layouts. This separation lets the model reason about geometry and composition before committing to texture and color, improving spatial fidelity. The repository includes training code, datasets, and evaluation scripts so researchers can reproduce baselines and extend components such as the graph encoder or image generator. In practice, sg2im demonstrates how structured semantics can guide generative models to produce controllable, compositional imagery.

    Exposure

    Exposure

Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL

Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL from unpaired image datasets, using a differentiable photo editing model. ACM Transactions on Graphics (presented at SIGGRAPH 2018) Exposure is originally designed for RAW photos, which assumes 12+ bit color depth and linear "RGB" color space (or whatever we get after demosaicing). jpg and png images typically have only 8-bit color depth (except 16-bit pngs) and the lack of information (dynamic range/activation resolution) may lead to suboptimal results such as posterization. Moreover, jpg and most pngs assume an sRGB color space, which contains a roughly 1/2.2 Gamma correction, making the data distribution different from training images (which are linear). ...
