    Accelerate

    Accelerate

Embedded language for high-performance array computations

Data.Array.Accelerate defines an embedded language of array computations for high-performance computing in Haskell. Computations on multi-dimensional, regular arrays are expressed in the form of parameterized collective operations (such as maps, reductions, and permutations). These computations are online-compiled and executed on a range of architectures. Accelerate is a free, general-purpose, open-source library that simplifies the process of developing software that targets massively parallel architectures including multicore CPUs and GPUs. Embedded in the advanced functional programming language Haskell, Accelerate programs are declarative, statically-typed, pure, functional, and ready to exploit all of the performance of modern parallel hardware. The combination of a strong type system, high-level code, and interactive development environment, allows you to develop code quickly with the confidence that it is correct.

    Agda

    Agda

Agda is a dependently typed programming language

Agda is a dependently typed, total functional programming language and interactive theorem prover based on Martin-Löf’s type theory. It allows expressing programs and proofs in the same language, using the Curry–Howard correspondence. It features interactive development via Emacs, Atom, or VS Code. Agda is a dependently typed functional programming language. It has inductive families, i.e., data types which depend on values, such as the type of vectors of a given length. It also has parametrised modules, mixfix operators, Unicode characters, and an interactive Emacs interface which can assist the programmer in writing the program. Agda is a proof assistant. It is an interactive system for writing and checking proofs. Agda is based on intuitionistic type theory, a foundational system for constructive mathematics developed by the Swedish logician Per Martin-Löf. It has many similarities with other proof assistants based on dependent types, such as Coq, Epigram, Matita and NuPRL.

    ArnoldC

    ArnoldC

    Arnold Schwarzenegger based programming language

ArnoldC is a programming language built as a joke language, where the entire syntax is based on quotes from Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Instead of conventional keywords and operators, it uses memorable movie lines to represent programming constructs like conditionals, loops, and functions. For example, “IT’S SHOWTIME” starts the main method, “TALK TO THE HAND” represents output, and “I’LL BE BACK” denotes a return statement. While humorous in nature, the language is fully functional and can be used to write real programs, showcasing how flexible compiler and interpreter design can be. The project is a playful experiment in esoteric programming languages, intended to entertain developers while also serving as an example of how language parsing and compilation can work with unconventional syntax. It demonstrates the overlap between pop culture and software development, turning famous lines into executable logic.

    Atari OSS Action

    Atari OSS Action

Action a programming language for Atari 8-bit

Action! is a programming language, with integrated editor, debugger, and 6502 compiler, for the Atari 8-bit family of microcomputers. Action! was created by Clinton Parker and released on cartridge by Optimized Systems Software in 1983. Its syntax is similar to that of ALGOL 68. Action! is significant for its high performance, which allows games and graphics demos to be written in a high-level language without use of hand-written assembly language code. Action! language constructs were designed to map cleanly to 6502 opcodes. In 2015, Clinton Parker has release the Action! 3.6 source code to the public under the terms of GPL. This project is intended to preserve the Action! source code and to provide updates and fixes for known bugs.

    Autocxx

    Autocxx

Tool for safe ergonomic Rust/C++ interop driven from existing C++

autocxx is an open source Rust tool and procedural macro designed to enable automatic, safe interoperability between C++ and Rust. It integrates the functionality of bindgen (for parsing and generating Rust bindings from C++ headers) with cxx (for safe and idiomatic Rust–C++ communication), automating the creation of bridges between the two languages. With autocxx, developers can include C++ headers directly in Rust source code and automatically generate bindings for the corresponding C++ classes, functions, and types. This approach greatly simplifies working with existing C++ libraries in Rust while maintaining safety and memory correctness. By reducing the amount of boilerplate and manual configuration typically needed for FFI (Foreign Function Interface) bindings, autocxx allows developers to focus on higher-level logic rather than low-level integration details.

    BMDFM

    BMDFM

    Binary Modular DataFlow Machine (BMDFM)

Binary Modular DataFlow Machine (BMDFM) is a software package that enables running an application in parallel on shared memory symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) computers using the multiple processors to speed up the execution of single applications. BMDFM automatically identifies and exploits parallelism due to the static and mainly dynamic scheduling of the dataflow instruction sequences derived from the formerly sequential program. The BMDFM dynamic scheduling subsystem performs a symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) emulation of a tagged-token dataflow machine to provide the transparent dataflow semantics for the applications. No directives for parallel execution are needed. More info: http://www.bmdfm.com https://bmdfm.github.io

    Beef Programming Language

    Beef Programming Language

    Beef Programming Language

Beef is a high-performance multi-paradigm open source programming language with a focus on developer productivity. The Beef Development Tools include an IDE with a general-purpose debugger capable of debugging native applications written in any language. The IDE supports productivity features such as autocomplete, fix-its, reformatting, refactoring tools, type inspection, hot compilation, and a built-in profiler. Beef allows for safely mixing different optimization levels on a per-type or per-method level, allowing for performance-critical code to be executed at maximum speed without affecting the debuggability of the rest of the application. Beef can detect memory leaks in real-time. As with most safety features in Beef, this can be turned off in Release builds for performance-critical applications. The Beef IDE supports productivity features such as autocomplete, fixits, reformatting, refactoring tools, type inspection, runtime code compilation (hot code swapping).

    Bend

    Bend

A massively parallel, high-level programming language

Bend is an interactive programming environment (REPL) built on top of the Kotlin language, designed to allow users to explore, experiment, and learn Kotlin in a live, feedback-driven manner. The tool lets you define variables, functions, or values at the prompt and iteratively refine them—immediately seeing output and types—while preserving state across commands. It emphasizes discoverability and experimentation: users can inspect functions, call them on sample inputs, and evolve logic without a full project scaffold. Because it’s embedded in a graphical or console interface, Bend aims to reduce the friction of switching between editor and runtime when prototyping or debugging ideas in Kotlin. It can also be extended with libraries or domain-specific tools, making it a flexible playground for domain scripting, education, or data exploration.

    COIL Programming Language

    COIL Programming Language

COIL:A Programming Language made by Teens for Teens(ikr)

Complex Output Input Language. It was made because games in python end up quite ugly and bloated. This is designed to be clean & easy. It's an interpreter, It was written in C++. Not a singe line of code was written by an adult (except the standard c++ libraries). Give it a try and tell me what you think. It's a work in progress so there are only input and output functions, variables and if statements. Because it's at an early stage in design, any ideas you give me now can be integrated into language while it's still possible. It is currently in active development. New versions are released every week. So keep on checking. Don't hesitate to mod it, just don't forget to give credit to the original author Majak Akec. To test it, download the EXE from 'bin'. Run the EXE than type 'hello.cl'. Also, to get the most out of it, try out Pond IDE made by Wasif Boksh - it's epic! Experiment & explore.

    CSharpLang

    CSharpLang

The official repo for the design of the C# programming language

This is the official repository for the design and evolution of the C# programming language. It's where language features are proposed, discussed, designed, and specified. It contains feature proposals, notes from language design meetings, and the evolving specification. Language Design Meetings (LDMs) are held by the LDT and occasional invited guests, and are documented in Design Meeting Notes in the meetings folder, organized in folders by year. The lifetime of a design meeting note is described in meetings/README.md. LDMs are where decisions about future C# versions are made, including which proposals to work on, how to evolve the proposals, and whether and when to adopt them. Parsing (if applicable) should be resilient to experimentation: typing should not cause crashes.

    ChaiScript

    ChaiScript

Embedded Scripting Language Designed for C++

An easy to use embedded scripting language for C++. ChaiScript is one of the only embedded scripting language designed from the ground up to directly target C++ and take advantage of modern C++ development techniques, working with the developer how they would expect it to work. Being a native C++ application, it has some advantages over existing embedded scripting languages. There are no external tools required, no preprocessor, no libraries, just your C++14 compliant compiler. ChaiScript is fully tested for 32bit and 64bit on Windows (MSVC2013), clang++ and g++. ChaiScript has been making stable releases since 2009. No bug fix or feature is made without a corresponding unit test. By default ChaiScript is thread-safe. Thread safety can be disabled for enhanced performance. ChaiScript is licensed with the BSD license and is free to use in your free or commercial projects.

    CoffeeKup

    CoffeeKup

    Markup as CoffeeScript

CoffeeKup is a concise templating engine written in CoffeeScript that aims to provide an expressive, readable way to generate HTML from templates inside Node.js applications. It emphasizes minimal, CoffeeScript-style syntax so template authors can write small, elegant templates that integrate naturally with CoffeeScript codebases. The engine supports common templating needs—embedding variables, simple control flow, partials/includes, and basic layout patterns—while focusing on clean, compact syntax rather than a huge feature surface. Because it targets CoffeeScript users, CoffeeKup often appeals to projects that prefer that language’s terse style and want templates that look like the rest of their code. The project includes examples and installation instructions for integrating templates into server-side rendering pipelines and simple static site workflows.
