This is a simple but sophisticated open source password recovery tool for M$ Windows, it can effectively 'crack' any password protected archive that can be decompressed by 7zip given enough time and resources. It can also bruteforce MD2, MD5, SHA-1 and SHA-2 hashes (SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512), CRC16, CRC32, CRC64 and Adler32 hashed passwords for both Windows, and Linux. It requires java 7u4 and above, and 7-zip v9.20 and up for archive recovery. You can store in it's database such data as passwords and logins which will be encrypted using AES-256 with PBKDF2(number of iterations set by user). Password safe for Windows and Linux. If you want to manage your passwords (or other information) in one file and access that file with Windows and with Linux, this could be your choice. You create trees where each knot and leaf contains as many key/value pairs as you like. Then the whole thing is written encrypted to one file. Windows binaries and Debian32/64 binaries are downloadable. If you want to build it yourself - I suggest Linux users do that - get Qt4, call qmake and make in the directory where the .pro file is and you should be done. When building with Windows I suggest MinGw. The encryption is taken from a c-sample from Bruce Schneiers site. If someone could check it, that would be nice. PCSecrets is a PC application that holds secret text data - protected by a master password and strong encryption. Use it as a password manager or just somewhere to hold any text data securely in one place. It can hold a second, hidden set of secrets that is undetectable and plausibly deniable. The program is also a PC counterpart of the Secrets for Android app. It uses the same data structure and provides synchronization that allows easy transfer of secrets between the two. For those who find the personal computer environment more comfortable for data entry and editing (i.e. a real keyboard), PCSecrets provides an alternative way to manage your secrets. Sync is also effectively a form of backup. To enable the sync feature with Secrets for Android, you need to install the PCSecrets Sync app, downloadable from SourceForge or Google Play.
