A Custom Puppy Linux Live CD With Zerofree Utility i686 32 Bit
After Booting with this Live CD, just click on the CDROM icon on the Desktop, to open its folder contents, then Right Click the zerofree.sh file and Choose the "Run in Terminal" option and then follow the instructions shown on the terminal. As you may be aware, Booting with a Live CD, requires that you need to change the Boot Order on your System / Guest BIOS, quickly on startup, by pressing either F2 OR F12 OR F10 OR an equivalent key and then change the Boot Order to boot from the CDROM first. Some Hints: Puppy Linux Live CDs show some dialogs / settings window on first startup / first shutdown. Feel free to dismiss / close them, if you do not want to make any changes, to the live cd's operation, next time, on the same system. This will not affect the zerofree's work in any way. Apart from this, using the Internet Browser, built in, would require a Free Memory of 1 GB or more, for better Performance ( as it is generally a memory intensive activity ) -

This Linux Live CD provides a Quick Way to Save Files from the Hard Drives to an External Drive for Safety and Rescue Purposes. This GUI System gets started in less than 28 seconds and is able to auto mount all drives including external ones, but excluding encrypted drives, for user access. On Startup, this system provides a dual pane file manager for copying files and folders between the panels, by way of a simple drag and drop facility. Following are the limitations of this system : 1. It does not support ENCRYPTED DRIVES at the moment. Do not use it. 2. If the external drive has a ownership aware filesystem, like for eg. ext2/3/4, then the copy happens as ROOT without any interruption. You may change it later using sudo privileges and the chown -R command. Note: To Shutdown the System properly, Click Exit Button on the Bottom of Desktop and Click OK to popup dialog. it is SAFE to REMOVE external drives, AFTER SHUTTING down the system. Starting from the base of MX-Linux 23.6, I have created a Respin of MX-23.6 with Moksha as Windows Manager in its versions of 32 and 64bits with the Kernel 6.1.0-33 of MX-Linux/Debian, adding some programs to complete all the possible uses. The Respin has the Bodhi Linux Moksha 0.4.1, it has the MX-Linux and Bodhi Linux repositories enabled to have the latest Moksha packages, it does not have the Bodhi Linux Software web store, as that would install packages that would take away the charm of MX... Instead it has “MX-Package Installer” with the “Popular Applications” option, the official and test repositories and a Flatpaks program installer. -

Pearl Surf was designed to run from a usb thumb drive made the the Ubuntu USB-Creator. We included all you need to start browsing with Chromium and Thunderbird for an email client. Also included for added multimedia functions is Clementine, Banshee and totem. I decided that I was not looking to have the fastest loading live OS as from what I see is all anyone is concerned about, but to acually take a full minute maybe even 1.5 to load and have a decent OS to work with. It loads very fast on many types of systems we check our systems on from net books to all brands of desktops. This is also a great system for you to add software of your choosing for your own custom built system. Ubuntu Software Center is installed for you to add to this lightweight release of Pearl. Java and Flash support built in. -

ELKS is a subset of the Linux kernel that runs on IBM compatible PCs from 8086 up. It is intended to get use out of obsolete old hardware, for use in embedded systems, and as an educational tool. ELKS has been moved to Github to protest SourceForge's installer adware hijacking. This does not directly affect ELKS, but it does affect many major open source projects such as Gimp and FileZilla by attempting to trick the user into installing adware in order to download these programs.
