...:) The comparison to script shipped with kernel (circa 2012): 1) gmil works or attempts to work across many releases 2) gmil works harder to make packaged installable result(s) 3) gmil has a smart way to build many kernels at once / at a keypress 4) the scripts/ _can do most of those steps but _don't combine them, leaving maybe allot to read and type. The user-mode kernel port is a port of the Linux kernel which runs in a set of processes. The result is a user-mode virtual machine and a kernel which can be debugged and developed using all of the usual process-level tools.

Project aims to simplify Linux kernel analysis and development. Primary audience to the result of project will be (under)graduate students attending "Operating system" courses. It is our intention to make advances with every generation of students.
