    glslViewer

    glslViewer

Console-based GLSL Sandbox for 2D/3D shaders shaders

GlslViewer is a flexible console-based OpenGL Sandbox to display 2D/3D GLSL shaders without the need of a UI. You can definitely make your own UI or wrapper using the Python Module (include) or any other tool that communicates back/forth with the GPS viewer through the standard POSIX console In/Out or OSC. Default vert/frag shaders for 2D shader and 3D material shaders with PBR lighting model. Hot reload of files on changes. One default light and one default camera. Interactive commands...

    PerfectSineWaves

    PerfectSineWaves

Perfect and bit-perfect PCM encoded sine wave audio test tones

In this project, a perfect PCM sine wave is one that contains a single frequency at 0 dBTP and no error harmonics at all. A bit-perfect PCM sine wave has error harmonics due to encoding quantization, but they are at the minimum level possible for the chosen encoding. The generated wave files hold a sequence of one or more complete copies of a repeating pattern. A file containing a single pattern can be played in a loop to extend the play time.

    Microtones Library

    Microtones Library

Microtonal Music Notation and Playback for Sibelius, Kontakt, UVI, Max

...This library offers among others the following features: − insertion of microtones in the music − transposition using microtonal intervals − precise polyphonic playback of microtonal music with Kontakt and Max/MSP, without the requirement for pitch bends (the standard playback system of Sibelius is limited to monodies, and its use of pitch bends entails undesired pitch glitches in the rendering) − handling of microtonal scales, build scales, check if the music material belongs to a given scale, warping from one scale to another one, transpose notes to the closest member of a microtonal scale, etc. −  handling of microtonal artificial harmonics and microtonal glissandi The development of this library has been commissioned by the CIRM studios, Nice, France

    Mathematically produced patterns

    Mathematically produced patterns

It creates hundreds of pictures which are based on the Mandelbrot

...By tapping on the C and V keys you can change the Mandelbrot Constant, and this changes the patterns gradually in either direction. There are many keyboard controls you can tap on. The Page Up/Down keys trigger preset patterns. Random sounds are a combination of sine waves with harmonics, following random numbers, a separate experiment which happened to run in the same program. The complete source code is also here as one single ASM file, ready for assembly with the 'flat assembler'.

    Sound effect

It scans a drawing on the screen and converts pixels into sounds.

...When you press the Space-bar it scans the screen and converts the drawing into sounds. Each pixel on the screen is converted into a sound, and there is an unfinished idea it can form harmonics. It can make several sound effects, and it's even possible that it can be used to create some music. Its complete source code is there as a single ASM file which can be assembled instantly with the free FASMW compiler.

    Kangas Sound Editor

    Kangas Sound Editor

Synthesizer, mixing, sound effects, music composition and production.

...Kangas Sound Editor (QI) uses a system of boxes or cells, which are placed by the user onto a timeline using drag-and-drop, and which represent entities such as chords, repetition, and individual sounds or notes. The program's database allows the user to create and store harmonics, used for constructing melodic instruments, and anti-harmonics, which are used for constructing percussion instruments. Users can collaborate with and build on the work of others via an XML import/export facility.

    CQT-FW

CQT-FW is an audio analisys tool for multiple pitch recognition

...In CQT-FW we have the same frequency resolution as CQT, but with fixed length windows in time, what leads to a constant time resolution as well. And more, time and frequency resolution are not dependent like in CQT end DFT transforms. We also propose a post processing witch eliminate the high order harmonics, leaving only the fundamental frequencies. The transform got good results in a good range of frequencies, but still have problems in low frequencies.
