In this project, a perfect PCM sine wave is one that contains a single frequency at 0 dBTP and no error harmonics at all. A bit-perfect PCM sine wave has error harmonics due to encoding quantization, but they are at the minimum level possible for the chosen encoding. I can hear the skepticism already: "Effectively upsample my CD collection? Really??" Ordinarily, it would be true merely increasing the bit depth and sampling rate alone does nothing to improve sound quality. It does nothing but add a bunch of trailing zeros. However, using the ffmpeg aexciter audio filter, this front end program fills in those zeros with actual numbers. Each pixel on the screen is converted into a sound, and there is an unfinished idea it can form harmonics. It can make several sound effects, and it's even possible that it can be used to create some music.
