Copy files denoted in an M3U playlist to any single location
...It takes a Winamp playlist (or a playlist that you saved in some other, similar music player), finds the music files, and copies them to a single location such as a folder, USB stick, portable device, or network location. The copied files can keep their original form, or alternatively you can add numbers to the beginning of their names. If you wish, you can ask the program to create a batch file copy_files.bat in the same folder where the M3U Export Tool is located. This is for administrators who wish under special circumstances to perform the copying using the administrator rights. These rights can be obtained by right-clicking the Command Prompt and selecting Run as administrator. Next, you only need to type in the script name. -

MIDI Ribbon Controller with Continuous Pitch
An Arduino board, Spectra Symbol linear potentiometer, and USB/MIDI adapter are used to create a MIDI controller with continuous pitch (as opposed to discrete notes as played on a piano). The resulting instrument works with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. It has been tested successfully with Acoustica Mixcraft and GarageBand. Additional features have been added such as buttons to temporarily switch octaves, and a knob which adjusts how quickly the pitch is tuned. -

This project is the beginning of a big photo book conversion tool. Starting with ifolor (from switzerland) and output to scribus (which is a DTP application and can easily be used to create a pdf), I plan to also support other formats and support cross conversion, but for that I need YOUR INPUT (at least test files). Also other output formats are possible, but I didn't find a better format in the open source world than scribus yet. The project runs in a Java virtual machine.
