Toadflax is a graphical tool for displaying and editing/manipulating tunes in abc notation. It exists in two forms, Toadflax built using GTK and py_toadflax built using tkinter, the python window toolkit. It allows the user to load in abc music notation files and work on each one independently. The music is displayed on-screen, without needing to use a PostScript interpreter, making it a lightweight notation viewer. abcCairo is a project to create a Cairo backend for abcm2ps, enabling it to generate output in the formats supported by the Cairo library; PNG, SVG and PDF. abcm2ps is a command line program written by Jean-François Moine which converts abc music notation to music sheet in PostScript or SVG format. ...Sixel supports a maximum of 256 colors although many terminals only support 16 colors. If your BMP has more than 256 colors, or fewer colors but uses greater than 8 bits per pixel, reduce the color count using a program like IrfanView and "Decrease Color Depth". This program and its older brother PCX2SIX (circa 1995) are responsible for many of the Sixel images floating around the internet today. The original BMP2SIX program written April 2001, now is updated to compile under PellesC, and provides a GUI interface. ...pngnq-s9 adds several new options to pngnq including the ability to augment a user-supplied palette, the ability to quantize in the YUV colour space, and the ability to give more or less weight to specific colour components when quantizing. The program also includes a few bug fixes relative to the most recent version of pngnq. The .tar.gz files have been known to compile on Unix type systems, including Cygwin. The only external dependencies are libpng and zlib. For Windows users, we have a 32 bit binary, in pngnq-s9-2.0.2.zip, that should run as is on most modern Windows machines. -
