libjpeg-turbo is a JPEG image codec that uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, NEON, AltiVec) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression on x86, x86-64, ARM, and PowerPC systems. On such systems, libjpeg-turbo is generally 2-6x as fast as libjpeg, all else being equal. On other types of systems, libjpeg-turbo can still outperform libjpeg by a significant amount, by virtue of its highly-optimized Huffman coding routines. In many cases, the performance of libjpeg-turbo rivals that of proprietary high-speed JPEG codecs. libjpeg-turbo implements both the traditional libjpeg API as well as the less powerful but more straightforward TurboJPEG API. libjpeg-turbo also features colorspace extensions that allow it to compress from/decompress to 32-bit and big-endian pixel buffers (RGBX, XBGR, etc.), as well as a full-featured Java interface.

LAME is an educational tool to be used for learning about MP3 encoding. The goal of the LAME project is to improve the psycho acoustics, quality and speed of MP3 encoding. Note: we provide source code only!

FLAC is a free lossless compressed audio format which supports streaming and archival. The FLAC project maintains the format and provides a reference encoder/decoder and input plugins for several popular audio players.

Use Cemu's built-in graphic packs downloader (a feature added in Cemu 1.15.1) to automatically retrieve the newest graphic packs from our repository. Remove all of your graphic packs first, then move all of the folders from a downloaded .zip below to the graphicPacks folder from your Cemu folder. Choose one of the 3 downloads from above. Each download has a range of versions it supports, pick the one that’s supported by your downloaded Cemu version. Some graphic packs might not be available for Cemu 1.14.0 and newer while previous versions did have graphic packs. This is due to the full reimplementation of the texture system in Cemu 1.14.0. This also changed a lot of the aspects with textures and made all previous graphic packs that changed textures outdated.

rav1e is an open-source implementation of an encoder for the AV1 video codec, developed in Rust (with some assembly) by the community around Xiph Foundation. Its design philosophy is to start from a correct, minimal, and fast AV1 encoder — sacrificing some encoding speed/efficiency of reference encoders in exchange for simplicity, stability, and compilability across platforms — and then gradually improve. This makes rav1e particularly attractive for scenarios where you need AV1 encoding but care about build-time, portability, and maintenance overhead, or where the full-featured reference encoder might be prohibitively slow. Despite aiming for simplicity, rav1e supports a wide range of AV1 features: different bit depths, chroma subsampling formats, prediction and transform modes, and block partitioning options, which means it can produce reasonably efficient compressed video.

The Wii and Dreamcast versions have modes for 480i and 480p evaluation as well. It has tests designed with the processing of 240p signals in mind, although when possible it includes other video modes and specific tests for them. These have been tested with video processors on real hardware and a variety of displays, including CRTs and Arcade monitors via RGB. As a secondary target, the suite aims to provide tools for calibrating colors, black and white levels for specific console outputs and setups.
