Open Source PHP MIDI Software

GT-8 sysex reader. This software is written in php and there for platform independent. It can read and print settings from a .syx file. (Requires a webserver with php installed and configured correctly!)

NotesTyper system converts text typing into music. You will need computer keyboard, microphone (notebook mic is ok) and Chrome or Firefox browser. NotesTyper has multiple operating modes and settings, which allow to produce different music from same text. Computer keyboards do no allow to input keypress velocity, but NotesTyper overcomes this restriction by processing microphone input level when you type. When generating music all nuances of your typing are taken into account: what keys were pressed, exact timings of all key presses and key releases, velocity (loudness) of typing. Who can be interested: Researchers: experiment with converting text to music and explore fundamental relationships. Musicians: virtual keyboard with touch sensitivity. Music composers: compose new music with algorithmic and improvisation approach. Text authors: listen and share to how your text can sound.

This project will create some midi libraries to read midi content using php. Library can be used by php programs or web sites to display midi content.

Thank you for your interest in Speedy Composer. Speedy Composer is an automated application for composing melodies for Speedy Net members. We recently made changes to the source code of Speedy Net, and converted it into the Python language and Django framework. Since Speedy Composer was originally written in PHP, it is not adapted to work with Speedy Net in its current form. So unfortunately we were forced to temporarily close the app Speedy Composer. But don't worry, we kept backups of all the tunes composed by Speedy Composer, and when the website is reopened we will upload them to the new site. Speedy Composer and Speedy Net are open source applications, free software. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us convert Speedy Composer to Python.
