ParseMeFree is the NMEA 1083 lightweight parser library written in Java. The library is used to parse NMEA ASCII frames to Java readable objects.

Our project consist in porting positioning algorithms on a GPU. We will improve programs which are already working on CPU in order to make them compatible with the CUDA technology offered by Nvidia. The advantage of this technology is that it allows us to use massive multithreading and so make calculations go faster. Algorithms will be implemented in C++.

This project is for an iPhone/iPad viewer that is used to display FAA digital aviation charts. It also includes the support files necessary to prepare digital charts as downloadable tiles and a point of sale web site used by end users to obtain the charts. The viewer's features includes generating track points, which can be saved as GPX. The viewer can also be used to plot flights. The point of sale purchase system is Drupal based with a MySQL database. The remote device connects to the database using a Glassfish server and Jersey. This app has been available on Apple's iTunes App Store for over two years and has a 4+ star ratings. I have moved on to other things and while I've been maintaining it I'd like to see it continue to improve. That's is why I'm releasing it as an open source project.

A new algorithm for extracting roof tops was developed. Using the assumption that roof tops are planar in construction, a new approach was developed using volume of point clouds to determine whether a cluster contains planar points. This approach yields very promising results and with attention applied to its weaknesses, should provide another algorithm which can rival currently available roof top detection methods.

PuntoGPS is a simple tracking application to show your position to others, e.g. during urban bike rides :) It's made up of a GPS tracking app and a web based map. The app can be run on any GPS equipped device (smartphone, tablet, etc) by the users that want to show their position and/or track their paths. No user account is required, but users can set a short status message to identify (the default is the device name). The web map shows the current position of the active users, allowing others to find them. It runs on any browser and supports a great variety of tile layers (Open Street Map and Google Satellite among others).
