    llamafile

    llamafile

Distribute and run LLMs with a single file

...(announcement blog post). Our goal is to make open LLMs much more accessible to both developers and end users. We're doing that by combining llama.cpp with Cosmopolitan Libc into one framework that collapses all the complexity of LLMs down to a single-file executable (called a "llamafile") that runs locally on most computers, with no installation. The easiest way to try it for yourself is to download our example llamafile for the LLaVA model (license: LLaMA 2, OpenAI). LLaVA is a new LLM that can do more than just chat; you can also upload images and ask it questions about them. ...

My Little Unix: Kernels are Magic

ponyos is a lightweight, UNIX-like operating system developed as a personal hobby project by the creator of ToaruOS. It features a monolithic kernel written in C and aims for a POSIX-compliant environment with a built-from-scratch userland. ponyos includes a graphical interface, dynamic linker, shared libraries, and a package manager. It’s designed for fun, experimentation, and as a platform to learn and play with operating system internals, with surprisingly advanced features given its...

    box86

    box86

Linux Userspace x86 Emulator targeted at ARM Linux devices

Box86 lets you run x86 Linux programs (such as games) on non-x86 Linux systems, like ARM (the host system needs to be 32bit little-endian). Because box86 uses the native versions of some “system” libraries, like libc, libm, SDL, and OpenGL, it’s easy to integrate and use with most applications, and performance can be surprisingly high in some cases. Many games already work without much tweaking, for example WorldOfGoo, Airline Tycoon Deluxe, and FTL. Many of the GameMaker Linux games also run fine. (There’s a long list, among them are Undertale, A Risk of Rain, or Cook Serve Delicious.) ...

    Emscripten

    Emscripten

    Emscripten: An LLVM-to-WebAssembly Compiler

Emscripten is a complete open-source compiler toolchain that transforms C, C++, and other LLVM-based source code into WebAssembly (and JavaScript), enabling native‑like applications to run in web browsers, Node.js, and other Wasm environments. While Emscripten mostly focuses on compiling C and C++ using Clang, it can be integrated with other LLVM-using compilers (for example, Rust has Emscripten integration, with the wasm32-unknown-emscripten and asmjs-unknown-emscripten targets). Emscripten...

    linux-wasm

    linux-wasm

WebAssembly (Wasm) arch support for the Linux kernel

...Instead of emulating Linux through a virtual machine, this project compiles the actual kernel for a WebAssembly target, allowing it to execute natively within a Wasm runtime. The system includes essential userland tools provided by BusyBox along with a lightweight libc implementation, making it possible to interact with a shell and execute basic commands in-browser. A terminal interface is implemented using web technologies, allowing users to experience a functioning Linux system through a standard web page. The project includes scripts to build and run the environment either locally, in containers, or directly in the browser, demonstrating flexibility in development workflows.

Where as, arm64 builds have random reboots, especially if you have 2GB variant. Note: The ROM is not being developed anymore, only Security Patches are being updated. So, if something doesn't work don't expect it to get fixed. Also, note that some Banking apps doesn't work. Test ROM fully before using it as daily driver.

From the Transistor to the Web Browser

From the Transistor to the Web Browser

From the Transistor to the Web Browser, a rough outline for a 12 week

...The curriculum progresses from basic hardware concepts and Verilog simulation into a working processor. Students are expected to build components such as a UART, ARM7-style CPU, assembler, boot ROM, and linker. Later sections add a C compiler, libc pieces, memory management, Ethernet, and a bootloader. The operating-system portion introduces an MMU, Unix-like system calls, a filesystem, and basic user-space programs. The final software stages add TCP networking, dynamic linking, Telnet access, and a text-based web browser.

    AWS Greengrass Core C SDK

    AWS Greengrass Core C SDK

SDK to use with functions running on Greengrass Core using C

The AWS Greengrass Core SDK for C provides an interface to interact with the Greengrass Core system on the edge. It is c89 compliant and is meant to be performant while minimizing dependencies. The build will produce a shared object named libaws-greengrass-core-sdk-c.so under the build/aws-Greengrass-core-sdk-c directory. This is the shared object that the Lambda executable links to. The shared object is a stub implementation that helps Lambda executables to link against. It will be...

    realpaths

Prints aboslute paths of existing files.

...realpaths(1) is a realpath(3) clone and was made due to some realpath bugs. unlike realpath(3), realpaths(1) does not bake or guess part of the path: it only uses info from Linux and or libc from the filesystem of real files. It runs about same speed though. It's important when dealing with symlinks and mounts to use real information. realpath(3) has a coulple other glitches i noted however some might be found in realpaths(1) - - but the major issue is whether guessing is allowed. it is NOT tested by a world of people so note it's "a beta"

    dep-trace

gdeptrace dependancy solver correct for pkg or make deps

gdeptrace sorts an input dependancy list or table and prints it, and can do other actions. It's default operation is to act like tsort (1) except that it sorts by pure pkg / make dependancy (tsort sorts by grapical topology: see notes about differences). EXAMPLE: $ echo -e "b e\ne\nc b" | sort -k1,1 | gdeptrace [opts] e b c (b depends on e, c depends on b, e has no depends) (also: e has more items depending on it and is below anything it depends on; in this case...
