Ark pixel font - Open source Pan-CJK pixel font / Ark pixel font - Open source Pan-CJK pixel font. An open-source pan-Chinese-Japanese-Korean pixel font. 10, 12 and 16 pixels are supported. The goal is to provide an out-of-the-box pixel font solution for game development that can be used for text. This project not only provides all the glyph source files, but also provides the complete program needed to build the font. This font is still in early development and still lacks a large number of Chinese characters in all sizes. Among them, 12 pixels are the main development target. 10, 16 pixels are experimental. Efforts are currently underway to achieve the availability of 12 pixels under the GB2312 character set. We have a temporary interim solution available for production until the full font is available, check out the Stitcher Pixel Font project. -

A quality control analysis tool for high throughput sequencing data
FastQC is a quality control analysis tool designed to spot potential problems in high throughput sequencing datasets. Its goal is to provide a simple way by which to check the quality of raw sequence data coming from high throughput sequencing pipelines. It does this by running a modular set of analyses on one or more raw sequence files in fastq or bam format. It then produces a report summarizing the results, and highlighting any areas where the library may appear unusual. This should then direct you to where your data may have problems and allow you to take necessary steps to correct it before doing any further analysis. FastQC is not tied to any specific type of sequencing technique, so it can be used to look at libraries of various experiment types (Genomic Sequencing, ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, BS-Seq etc etc). -

PHP library generating PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML
mPDF is a PHP library that generates PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files ‘on-the-fly’ from his website, handling different languages. It is slower than the original scripts e.g. HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but support for CSS styles etc. and has been much enhanced. Supports almost all languages including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew), and CJK (Chinese-Japanese-Korean). Nested block-level elements (e.g. P, DIV) including margins, borders, padding, line height, background colors, etc. Right-to-left languages are supported, with automatic detection of RTL characters within a document. Transposes tables, lists, text justification, and table cell alignment, as well as a full-text reversal for RTL characters. Automatically detects non-RTL characters and displays these in the original order. -

DesktopFly is a macOS experiment that places a 3D fruit fly on the desktop and drives its behavior with a live neural simulation based on the FlyWire connectome. A 668-neuron circuit with roughly 19,000 biological synaptic connections runs as a spiking simulation that influences walking, steering, grooming, and escape behavior. Cursor movement, windows, clicks, temperature, and time of day become environmental inputs. The fly can walk along window edges, fly between locations, sleep, groom itself, and react to threats. An interactive brain view displays thousands of neuron positions and lets users stimulate regions directly. The transparent overlay remains click-through so the fly can inhabit the desktop without intercepting normal input. -

It retrieves details that are not always easily visible when browsing an Instagram account normally, allowing investigators, researchers, and developers to gather structured data about a target profile. It works by scraping publicly available profile information and extracting metadata from Instagram pages using Python. It collects various attributes such as the username, profile name, follower counts, account status indicators, and profile metadata. In addition to profile information, it can also retrieve post-related data and download publicly available images associated with an account. The results are saved locally in structured formats such as JSON-style data inside text files, making them easy to analyze or integrate into other applications. InstagramOSINT also exposes a Python API so developers can import the functionality.
