  • Also downloaded the MKVToolNix as it suggested. The program opens, but seems to not recognize the mkv file I've tried. on Win7
  • I think pashin doesn't support this anymore. If MKVToolNix is newer than version 20.0.0, this wouldn't work anymore unless there will be an update (which I already waited for almost a year). Recommended to use alternatives like gMKVExtractGUI as endorsed by MKVToolNix. It's time to move on.

  • The program is able to display a dialog box that reports an access violation. That is the only thing that it is able to do. No help is available. The claimed function (being able to extract files from an mkv container) does not exist.

  • Pretty crappy, flakey, cumbersome with nonsensical cryptic messages.
  • Tested on file: High School of the Dead 01 Spring of the Dead (BD1080p AC3 10bit).mkv Tested on mkvtoolnix-64-bit-21.0.0 Tested on MKVExtractGUI-2 versions: 2.4.0.0 & 2.2.2.9 For version 2.4.0.0 nothing is displayed. For version 2.2.2.9 only 1 chapter is displayed. Cons: cant extract subtitles in .srt or .a** format.
  • i tried 2.2.2.9 version first, i saw only chapters. Now with 2.4.0 version everything is perfect.I can see all everything in the mvk source.Thank you very much.

  • This project very good but it's not work with latest version MKVtoolnix!?!?!? Please if you can fix the problem. I need update this project please update very sooon Thanks so much.
  • MKVtoolnix 20 broke MKVExtractGUI. It only displays chapters and attachments but won't actually extract them. Open an MKV without any chapters or attachments and it shows nothing to extract.

  • well version 2.2.2.9 works fine. With version 2.3.0.0, when I select an input MKV file, tracks of that file are not listed at all! So I cannot extract any track (in my case, subtitles) from that file. When I downgrade to v2.2.2.9, everything works fine. One star for v2.3, five for 2.2.2.9, so it is three as average. My system is Windows 7 ultimate edition 64 bit. I can send a screenshot if you want. By the way, I downloaded version 2.3 hoping that it allows batch processing of MKVs, i.e. to extract subtitles of all MKVs found in a directory. It still doesn't have such a feature. It would be great if it had it AND if it worked on my system.
  • v2.3 has all kinds of niggling little details removed, compared with v2.2.2.9 a) text no longer greys out when running. Harder to see if the program is active. (I run multiple instances, so its a pain to open each one separately to check if its finished yet). b) default save path no longer follows the active file, only the first file opened. Have to close and reopen the app. The loss of these little details caused me to revert to the previous version. Despite this, its still works well and is a very useful program. My score is for this update only, I rate the previous version Excellent.

  • Works as intended. After some changes to the MKVextract, it won't extract the attachments anymore, but you can still get a shell command and change attachment numbering to get it to work. (This app numbers the attachments from 0 to N, while MKVextract now numbers them from 1 to N, so you just need to bump attachment numbers on the commandline by one to get it to work).

  • Good evening I ask if it is possible, in some way, to enter a work that can detect the subtitles (above 31) in text format activated menu java. Such as the famous Blu-ray disc "The Mummy", the topic was also discussed in the forum (doom9.org/) Thank You

  • I use this program in conjunction with MKVmerge for about 2 years already and It's great. They let me do all I need with MKV files, from deleting waste audio/subtitles tracks to cutting large MKVs into 4GB pieces for watching 3D movies on my TV. It's convenient, stable and fast. My very best wishes and BIG thanks to the author!

  • Antivirus detects this software as a Trojan and deletes it from the computer making it completely useless. Sourceforge has no standards in quality or what?
  • pls add batch convert to the gui i don't know how to use what you have
  • This use to work brilliantly, but now I'm getting the same problem with a AVG detecting it as a virus and removing it. Is anyone looking at fixing this?
  • AVG antivirus detects it as IDP.Trojan.97AC54E5 and, of course, removes it.
  • Fonts extraction is broken in 2.2.2.8 and .9 A dealbreaker in an otherwise perfect tool.
  • AVG detected IDP.Trojan.97AC54E5 in executable.
