Efficient, deferred formatting for logging on embedded systems
defmt ("de format", short for "deferred formatting") is a highly efficient logging framework that targets resource-constrained devices, like microcontrollers. In its current iteration defmt mainly targets tiny embedded devices that have no means to display information to the developer, e.g. a screen. In this scenario, logs need to be transferred to a second machine, usually a PC/laptop, before they can be displayed to the developer/end-user. -

...Of course, you can switch off this slightly more verbose logging by setting showExceptions to false. Just like Gradle itself, by default only the last frame that matches the test class's name in a stack trace is printed. For vast majority of cases, that is sufficient. Sometimes, it is useful to remove this filtering in order to see the entirety of the stack trace. -

The cpp_trace is a flexible and compact logging C++ library. The library provides a facility to filter and route between output streams text trace messages. It uses generic type-safe design and conforms to STL io stream concepts.

The stack tracer is an delphi library for help to make exception handling to informative. The library is written for Delphi 7, but i think will work also on the 5 and 6 versions.

The Winfessor Enhanced .NET Trace Library is written in VB.NET, supports class level configuration, and contains both console and Winforms trace receiver interfaces. To use it you simply put a Traceable attribute on your class and call a static method.
