A Linux kernel module to grab keys pressed in the keyboard, or a keylogger. keysniffer was initially written with the US keyboard (and conforming laptops) in mind. The logged messages can be dispatched according to their facility, urgency, program name and/or Perl-compatible regular expressions. Log files can be automatically and safely rotated.
