Managing large application state easily, resiliently, and with high performance is one of the hardest problems in the cloud today. The FASTER project offers two artifacts to help tackle this problem. FASTER Log is a high-performance concurrent persistent recoverable log, iterator, and random reader library in C#. It supports very frequent commit operations at low latency, and can quickly saturate disk bandwidth. It supports both sync and async interfaces, handles disk errors, and supports checksums. FASTER KV is a concurrent key-value store + cache (available in C# and C++) that is designed for point lookups and heavy updates. FASTER supports data larger than memory, by leveraging fast external storage (local or cloud). It also supports consistent recovery using a new checkpointing technique that lets applications trade-off performance for commit latency. -

Logger is a simple, pretty and powerful logger for android. It provides a number of options and features. String format arguments are supported, as well as collections (only available for debug logs). Also, it features Json and Xml support (output will be in debug level). Log adapter checks whether the log should be printed or not by checking the log adapter function. If you want to disable/hide logs for output, override isLoggable method. The command "true" will print the log message, "false" will ignore it. Use filter for a better result. the tag PRETTY_LOGGER or your custom tag can be used. Make sure that wrap option is disabled. You can also simplify output by changing settings. Logger supports Timber Integration, as well. -

The Logging operator solves your logging-related problems in Kubernetes environments by automating the deployment and configuration of a Kubernetes logging pipeline. The Logging operator manages the log collectors and log forwarders of your logging infrastructure, and the routing rules that specify where you want to send your different log messages. You can filter and process the incoming log messages using the flow custom resource of the log forwarder to route them to the appropriate output. The outputs are the destinations where you want to send your log messages, for example, Elasticsearch, or an Amazon S3 bucket. You can also define cluster-wide outputs and flows, for example, to use a centralized output that namespaced users can reference but cannot modify. -

Multi pod and container log tailing for Kubernetes
Stern allows you to tail multiple pods on Kubernetes and multiple containers within the pod. Each result is color-coded for quicker debugging. The query is a regular expression so the pod name can easily be filtered and you don't need to specify the exact id (for instance omitting the deployment id). If a pod is deleted it gets removed from tail and if a new pod is added it automatically gets tailed. When a pod contains multiple containers Stern can tail all of them too without having to do this manually for each one. Simply specify the container flag to limit what containers to show. By default all containers are listened to. If you don't want to build from source go grab a binary release. Govendor is required to install vendored dependencies. On macOS, you can also install Stern using Homebrew. -

Mail Alert Simple Mailer is a simple command-line utility designed for IT administrators for sending e-mail from Microsoft Windows OS. It can be executed from command line, Windows batch file or PowerShell scripts. My main reason for writing this software was to handle events generated by Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA), APC PowerChute and Windows Events to send hardware status and alerts like temperature alerts, UPS battery status, powerline status and RAID controller alerts from monitoring software. It can be used with any other software where you can configure external application to be executed when specific event occurs. Mail Alert Simple Mailer supports SSL and STARTTLS protocols, so it is compatible with many free e-mail providers like GMail, Hotmail, etc. Unlike other simple command line tools it supports ISO-8859-1, ISO-8859-2 and UTF-8 code pages for national characters. Mail Alert Simple Mailer encrypts SMTP password in configuration file. -
