This small tool allows the user to graphically examine ddrescue's mapfiles in a user friendly GUI application. The Main window displays a block grid with each block's color representing the block types it contains. Many people know this type of view from defragmentation programs. The program is written in Object Pascal using the Lazarus IDE. It can be compiled to run on Windows, GNU/Linux and probably OS X, too. The downloads include binaries for the respective target platform and the project files (source code). Update 2022/02/25: ddrescueview version 0.4.5 has been released. This maintenance release restores compatibility with ddrescue 1.24 and later. Please consider testing this version. NSClient++ is a windows service that allows performance metrics to be gathered by Nagios (and possibly other monitoring tools). It is an attempt to create a NSClient and NRPE compatible but yet extendable performance service for windows.

It provides leveled logging with a small API, making it easy to add useful logs without introducing a heavy dependency. The library emphasizes colorful, human-readable terminal output that works well during development and debugging. It is intended as a more polished alternative to Go’s standard log package while still staying lightweight. Logbook is an extensible Java library to enable complete request and response logging for different client- and server-side technologies. It satisfies a special need by a) allowing web application developers to log any HTTP traffic that an application receives or sends b) in a way that makes it easy to persist and analyze it later. This can be useful for traditional log analysis, meeting audit requirements or investigating individual historic traffic issues. Logbook is ready to use out of the box for most common setups. Even for uncommon applications and technologies, it should be simple to implement the necessary interfaces to connect a library/framework/etc. to it.

swift-log is the official, vendor-neutral logging API for Swift, providing a small, performant core that libraries and applications adopt to avoid logger lock-in. It defines common logging semantics and levels, plus a lightweight façade that backends can implement—so the same application code can run with different logging engines (e.g., OSLog on Apple platforms or custom sinks on servers). The package embraces Swift Package Manager, offers a clean Logger API, and is widely used across the Swift on server and Apple-platform ecosystems. swatchdog.pl started out as swatch, the "simple watchdog" for activity monitoring log files produced by UNIX's syslog facility. It has since been evolving into a utility that can monitor just about any type of log. The name has been changed to satisfy a request made by the old Swiss watch company.

To keep track of various stuff here at home. Like books, records (CD, LP), video/DVD etc. There isn't a web based database that I've found that is free that keeps track of all this.

pgBadger is a PostgreSQL log analyzer built for speed with fully detailed reports from your PostgreSQL log file. It's a single and small script written in pure Perl language. It uses a javascript library to draw graphs so that you don't need additional Perl modules or any other package to install. Furthermore, this library gives us more features such as zooming. pgBadger is able to autodetect your log file format (syslog, stderr or csvlog). It is designed to parse huge log files as well as gzip compressed file.
