    Ruby Serial

    Ruby Serial

Optimized serialization library for Ruby objects.

Library serializing Ruby objects, optimized in many ways: * Fast and small: use MessagePack (binary compact storage) and don't serialize twice the same object * Independent of Ruby version: dump and load data across different versions * Keep shared objects: if an object is shared by others, serialization still keeps the reference and does not duplicate objects in memory * Gives the ability to fine tune which attributes of your objects are to be serialized (defaults to all) * Keeps backward compatibility with previously serialized versions * Has callbacks support to fine tune the serialization process * Can serialize objects having reference cycles (self-contained Arrays, Hashes, objects...)

    ThunderstormDistributor

Distribute jobs to compute nodes on dynamic clusters

ThunderstormDistributor is a queuing system that distributes jobs and computational workload across dynamic clusters in the cloud. It manages the assignment of jobs to maximize CPU and memory usage and prevent oversubscription of compute nodes. It also performs advanced statistics collection on individual compute nodes and jobs to graph the distribution of disk, network, CPU, and memory usage over time, which facilitates the advanced optimization and tuning of computational workflows.

    RainforestCluster

    Dynamically manage Amazon EC2 clusters

RainforestCluster is an Amazon EC2 python program that manages and load-balances dynamic clusters to allow for maximum workflow flexibility and speed at minimal cost. It enables one to quickly and cheaply create dynamic compute clusters in the cloud, which can then run computational pipelines generically. It is also able to optimize the use of spot instances - idle computers in Amazon's cloud that are available at drastically reduced cost (5x-10x cheaper) - but can be terminated at any...

    Archi Git Repository Plugin

Archi plugin allowing Archi content to be shared via GIT repositories

Archi is a fantastic open source tool for creating ArchiMate models, however it has a restriction that limits is usefulness for teams and that is that the model content can only be saved into a local file. This plugin aims to make the content held in the local file able to be shared via a GIT repository that is integrated with Archi via a plugin. This way Archi users can work on models in a distributed and independent manner exactly as they do today, however if they want to version their model and/or share it with others they can export the content into a GIT repository or import from a previously exported GIT repository. ...

    PASHA: Parallelized Short Read Assembly

One of the fastest parallel short read assemblers for large genomes.

PASHA is a parallel short read assembler for large genomes using de Bruijn graphs. Taking advantage of both shared-memory multi-core CPUs and distributed-memory compute clusters, PASHA has demonstrated its potential to perform high-quality de-novo assembly of large genomes in reasonable time with modest computing resources. Our evaluation using three small real paired-end datasets shows that PASHA is able to produce better assemblies with comparable genome coverage and mis-assembly rates compared to three leading assemblers: Velvet, ABySS and SOAPdenovo. ...

    XML Mill

    XML Mill

XML Mill is a GUI based XML editor with a memory.

"XML Mill" is an open source initiative distributed free under the GNU GPL. As a GUI based XML editor and builder, XML Mill furthermore remembers relationships between the elements, attributes and attribute values of specific "styles" of XML. Since synchronising and managing (the same) information across different sites is difficult and counter-productive, I urge you to see the project's home page for a comprehensive explanation of the application's features.

    prog89s52

    prog89s52

Utility for programming an AT89S52 via a parallel port.

...A 5-way cable is required to connect the microcontroller to the port; wiring information is given in the included manual page. Remember that a clock source is required in order to program the device, and that EA must be tied to Vcc when programming the internal flash memory. Note that since prog89S52 uses ioperm() and friends to access the underlying port hardware, you may need to run it as root. Both binary and source may be freely distributed and modified, but both are provided without any form of express or implied warranty.

    HSOC

    HSOC

    Heterogeneous System-on-Chip Platform

HSoC is a open source, SystemC-based, cycle-accurate virtual platform for heterogeneous shared memory-based multicore SoCs. Each HSoC component has a clean interface, implements a separate class, and includes regression tests. Large-scale models can be instantiated, by connecting objects from all HSoC libraries. Each object may collect data by invoking a monitoring library. The target users are CS/EE professionals. Some experience with SoC design methodology and SystemC (e.g. reading the SystemC user manual and/or running the examples) is required. ...

The Safe C Library provides bound checking memory and string functions per ISO/IEC TR24731. These functions are alternative functions to the existing standard C library that promote safer, more secure programming. The ISO/IEC Programming languages — C spec, C11, now includes the bounded APIs in Appendix K, "Bounds-checking interfaces". This latest upload supports building static library, a shared library and a linux kernel module.

    C Program Foundation

Suite of Linux libs: logger, collections, shared memory lib

Includes: Shared Memory Library Library intended to ease the communication task between the processes. The main idea is that a user can create one or more shared memory areas where the programs exchange data. They can be aware of data changes by making pools in a while loop. Every access to the shared zone is conditioned by acquiring a semaphore lock.
