    JavaScript MD5

    JavaScript MD5

Compatible with server-side environments like node.js

JavaScript-MD5 is a small, dependency-free implementation of the MD5 hashing algorithm written entirely in JavaScript, designed to run consistently across browsers, Node.js, and popular module loaders. It allows you to generate MD5 hashes from strings, arrays, ArrayBuffers, and other binary-like data types, making it useful for checksums, fingerprinting, and simple integrity checks on the client or server. The library is exposed as a plain function, so usage is as simple as calling md5(value) and receiving the 32-character hexadecimal hash. It supports multiple packaging formats, including UMD, making it easy to drop into legacy codebases as well as modern bundlers like webpack or Browserify. A comprehensive test suite and demo page are provided to validate behavior across platforms and edge cases.

    Jekyll theme: Adam Blog 2.0

    Jekyll theme: Adam Blog 2.0

The Minimum Viable Model website and Jekyll theme

Adam Blog 2.0 is a Jekyll theme that was built to be 100% compatible with GitHub Pages. If you are unfamiliar with GitHub Pages, you can check out their documentation for more information. Jonathan McGlone's guide on creating and hosting a personal site on GitHub is also a good resource. Jekyll is a simple, blog-aware, static site generator for personal, project, or organization sites. Basically, Jekyll takes your page content along with template files and produces a complete website. The beauty of hosting your website on GitHub is that you don't have to actually have Jekyll installed on your computer. Everything can be done through the GitHub code editor, with minimal knowledge of how to use Jekyll or the command line. All you have to do is add your posts to the _posts directory and edit the _config.yml file to change the site settings. With some rudimentary knowledge of HTML and CSS, you can even modify the site to your liking.

    Jest Puppeteer

    Jest Puppeteer

Run your tests using Jest & Puppeteer

Most continuous integration platforms limit the number of threads one can use. If you have more than one test suite running puppeteer chances are that your test will timeout. This is because jest will try to run puppeteer in parallel and the CI platform won't be able to handle all the parallel jobs in time. A fix to this is to run your test serially when in a CI environment. Users have discovered that running test serially in such environments can render up to 50% of performance gains. Writing integration test can be done using Puppeteer API but it can be complicated and hard because API is not designed for testing. Debugging tests can be hard sometimes and it is very useful to be able to pause tests in order to inspect the browser. Jest Puppeteer exposes a method jestPuppeteer.debug() that suspends test execution and gives you the opportunity to see what's going on in the browser.

    Kickstart

    Kickstart

Kickstart is a CSS library designed for modularity and fast page

Kickstart's CSS is only 80kb and even smaller when you roll your own from the Sass mixins. Not only is the Kickstart JS smaller than Bootstrap and Foundation, it also doesn't require jQuery--drastically reducing page load times. Kickstart has been used in production websites for over three years. Kickstart is a library, not a framework. This means you only use the CSS you need instead of slowing down your site with a complete UI library. Look how easy it is to create this Navbar. Most components in Kickstart require only one mixin to bring markup to life. For users preferring a static CSS file, simple CSS classes are available to quickly write up components. The Kickstart documentation can be toggled between static- and mixin-usage. Kickstart has a lot of components, but it's also extendible.

    Koa-OAI-Router

Koa Router, based on OpenAPI, Swagger and Json Schema

I have used Markdown and wiki to manage API doc, from which I have suffered a lot. It wastes too much time and is very boring. The document should be repaired when you change the API. It's very inconvenient to test and debug. The management of API doc totally depends on people. As a result, it is hard to make documents have high quality. Meanwhile, the developers will spend more time on testing, which may have a bad effect on the project.

    Koa2 RESTful API

    Koa2 RESTful API

    RESTful API Server

This is a lightweight RESTful API Server scaffolding based on Koa2, supporting ES6. Since the Koa version is upgraded to 2.3.0+, in order to match the corresponding dependencies, the Node.js version is required to be greater than or equal to v8.0.0 (v11.13.0 is recommended), and the NPM version is greater than or equal to v5.0.0. It is recommended to use yarn instead of npm. This scaffolding only installs some necessary plug-ins that do not conflict with Koa2 to build a RESTful API Server, with instructions for each plug-in. Syntax checking with ESlint. Therefore, the scaffolding mainly provides RESTful API, so the front-end static resource processing is not considered for the time being, and only the basic method of static resource access is provided to facilitate access to resources such as pictures uploaded by users to the server. The basic directory structure is consistent with vue-cli and can be used with front-end frameworks such as React, AngularJS, and Vue.js.

    Koop

    Koop

Transform, query, and download geospatial data on the web

Koop is a JavaScript toolkit for making requests to spatial APIs. It exposes a Node.js web server that facilitates on-the-fly transformations of geospatial data from one format to another and delivers it to clients by HTTP. Koop allows you to keep your data in its native format while making it accessible in any format required. Out-of-the-box, Koop can translate your data into the GeoServices specification supported by ArcGIS products. Its plugin architecture supports output in other formats including vector-tile, WMS, and plain old GeoJSON. Koop's plugin-architecture facilitates custom deployments specific to your needs. "Provider" plugins to connect to novel data formats and translate to a common format (GeoJSON), while "output" plugins then transform that GeoJSON to other specifications. See a list of plugins already authored and maintained here. If you have a novel data source or require an as-yet unsupported output format, new plugins can be easily developed and integrated.

    LazyLoad

    LazyLoad

LazyLoad is a lightweight, flexible script that speeds up your website

LazyLoad is a fast, lightweight and flexible script that speeds up your web application by loading images only as they enter the viewport. LazyLoad supports responsive images. LazyLoad is a lightweight (2.4 kB) and flexible script that speeds up your web application by deferring the loading of your below-the-fold images, animated SVGs, videos and iframes to when they will enter the viewport. It’s written in plain “vanilla” JavaScript, it leverages the IntersectionObserver API, it supports responsive images, it optimizes your website for slower connections, and can enable native lazy loading. To display content images on your pages, always use the img tag. This would benefit the SEO and the accessibility of your website. To understand if your images are content or background, ask yourself: “would my website user like to see those images when printing out the page?”. If the answer is “yes”, then your images are content images and you should avoid using background images to display them.

    LemonadeJS

    LemonadeJS

    LemonadeJS is a 7KB reactive JavaScript micro-library

LemonadeJS is an ultra-lightweight, reactive JavaScript micro-library that makes building dynamic user interfaces simple and intuitive by providing two-way data binding and component reactivity without any external dependencies or build steps. At roughly 5–7 KB, it works directly in the browser or with bundlers like webpack, enabling developers to create reusable, reactive UI components using pure JavaScript, JSX, or TypeScript while avoiding heavy frameworks. Its core reactivity system tracks changes to component state and efficiently updates only the affected parts of the DOM, which improves performance for both small widgets and larger applications. The library also offers powerful template syntax and lifecycle hooks so you can manage state, effects, loops, and events in a clear and expressive way while keeping your code close to native JavaScript.

    Less.js

    Less.js

    Less, the dynamic stylesheet language

Less (which stands for Leaner Style Sheets) is a backwards-compatible language extension for CSS. This is the official documentation for Less, the language and Less.js, the JavaScript tool that converts your Less styles to CSS styles. Because Less looks just like CSS, learning it is a breeze. Less only makes a few convenient additions to the CSS language, which is one of the reasons it can be learned so quickly. Less gives you the ability to use nesting instead of, or in combination with cascading. Arithmetical operations can operate on any number, color or variable. If it is possible, mathematical operations take units into account and convert numbers before adding, subtracting or comparing them. The result has leftmost explicitly stated unit type. If the conversion is impossible or not meaningful, units are ignored. With Less you can transform colors, manipulate strings and do maths.

    Visual Regression Testing for Storybook

There are a few visual regression tools for the web, but most either cannot be run headless or use phantomjs which is deprecated and a browser nobody is actually using. They usually also require you to maintain fixtures. With react-native it's now possible to target multiple platforms with a single code base, but there's no single tool to test all to my knowledge. Loki aims to have easy setup, no to low maintenance cost, reproducible tests independent of which OS they are run on, runnable on CI, and support all platforms storybook does.

Augmented Reality for everyone, out of the world experiences

Lvr contains the 3D and WebVR boilerplates required to get running across platforms including mobile, desktop, Vive, and Rift. It works on any phone with WebGL and WebRTC. HTML is easy to read and copy-and-paste. Since Lvr can be used from HTML, Lvr is accessible to everyone: web developers, VR enthusiasts, educators, artists, makers, kids. It is completely open source and free of charge! Lvr is a powerful framework on top of three.js, providing a declarative, composable, reusable entity-component structure. While Lvr can be used from HTML, developers have unlimited access to JavaScript, DOM APIs, three.js, WebVR, and WebGL. Lvr is a thin framework on top of AR.js and A-Frame. Although A-Frame uses the DOM, A-Frame does not touch the browser layout engine. Performance is a top priority, being battle-tested on highly interactive WebVR experiences. It runs efficiently even on mobile phones!
