Mealer App - insanely good food ordering app
An extraordinary food ordering app providing a one-stop-shop solution for clients to order their favorite meals from exceptional chefs near them. Being built as part of course SEG2105 at the University of Ottawa by SEG2105 Group 4. Multiple entities or objects of data representation (User, Client, Chef, Meal, etc.) have to be accessable and modifiable from different parts of the application, and changes in data should be represented on the user interface efficiently. By taking inspiration from the Chain-of-responsibility design pattern, Modal-View-Controller design pattern and the Dispatcher-Action-Handler pattern, we resorted to implementing a code structure and data handling pattern that helps achieve loose coupling, lesser dependency on external frameworks (like Firebase) and more modularization. Every app instance would have UI components (activities), which will only contain code needed for user interface. UI components, use the App instance, to make calls. -

Metrics is a Java library which gives you unparalleled insight into what your code does in production. Metrics provides a powerful toolkit of ways to measure the behavior of critical components in your production environment. With modules for common libraries like Jetty, Logback, Log4j, Apache HttpClient, Ehcache, JDBI, Jersey and reporting backends like Graphite, Metrics provides you with full-stack visibility. The central library for Metrics is metrics-core, which provides some basic functionality. The starting point for Metrics is the MetricRegistry class, which is a collection of all the metrics for your application (or a subset of your application). Each metric is associated with a MetricRegistry, and has a unique name within that registry. A gauge is the simplest metric type. It just returns a value. If, for example, your application has a value which is maintained by a third-party library, you can easily expose it by registering a Gauge instance which returns that value. -

There are some classes like MvpFragment you can extends from, but the point is that you don’t have to if you don’t want to. At it’s core Mosby is a tiny library based on delegation. So you don’t have to use MvpFragment if you don’t want to. You can use delegation and composition to integrate Mosby in your own development stack. Hence you are not caught into a frameworks boundaries and limits. -

MyBatis
MyBatis SQL mapper framework for Java
MyBatis is a first class persistence framework with support for custom SQL, stored procedures and advanced mappings. MyBatis eliminates almost all of the JDBC code and manual setting of parameters and retrieval of results. MyBatis can use simple XML or Annotations for configuration and map primitives, Map interfaces and Java POJOs (Plain Old Java Objects) to database records. Every MyBatis application centers around an instance of SqlSessionFactory. A SqlSessionFactory instance can be acquired by using the SqlSessionFactoryBuilder. SqlSessionFactoryBuilder can build a SqlSessionFactory instance from an XML configuration file, or from a custom prepared instance of the Configuration class. Building a SqlSessionFactory instance from an XML file is very simple. It is recommended that you use a classpath resource for this configuration, but you could use any InputStream instance, including one created from a literal file path or a file:// URL. -

NanoHTTPD

NanoHTTPD is a light-weight HTTP server designed for embedding in other applications, released under a Modified BSD licence. It is being developed at Github and uses Apache Maven for builds & unit testing. Nanolets are like servlets only that they have a extremely low profile. They offer an easy to use system for a more complex server application. We are currently in the process of stabilizing NanoHTTPD from the many pull requests and feature requests that were integrated over the last few months. The next release will come soon, and there will not be any more "intended" major changes before the next release. If you want to use the bleeding edge version, you can clone it from Github, or get it from sonatype.org (see "Maven dependencies / Living on the edge" below). Fully functional HTTP(s) server consisting of one (1) Java file, ready to be customized/inherited for your own project. Simple examples on how to customize NanoHTTPD. -

Open HTML to PDF is a pure-Java library for rendering a reasonable subset of well-formed XML/XHTML (and even some HTML5) using CSS 2.1 (and later standards) for layout and formatting, outputting to PDF or images. Use this library to generated nice looking PDF documents. But be aware that you can not throw modern HTML5+ at this engine and expect a great result. You must special craft the HTML document for this library and use it's extended CSS feature like #31 or #32 to get good results. Avoid floats near page breaks and use table layouts. -

It is designed to make it easier for Java applications to call endpoints like chat completions, embeddings, function calling, streaming, and other model services using idiomatic Java patterns. You configure the client (often via environment variables or system properties), then build parameter objects (e.g. ChatCompletionCreateParams) and invoke methods like client.chat().completions().create(...) to send requests in a type-safe way. Applications package and deploy their implementations with each instance of the layer binaries. Each of these is a runnable Java .jar which starts all necessary services. -
