RSocket is a binary protocol for use on byte stream transports such as TCP, WebSockets, and Aeron. RSocket is intended to be consumed via one of the various implementation libraries which implement the RSocket Protocol. By default to make RSocket easier to use it copies the incoming Payload. Copying the payload comes at cost to performance and latency. If you want to use zero copy you must disable this. To disable copying you must include a payloadDecoder argument in your RSocketFactory. This will let you manage the Payload without copying the data from the underlying transport. You must free the Payload when you are done with them or you will get a memory leak. Used correctly this will reduce latency and increase performance. -

ServiceTalk is a JVM network application framework with APIs tailored to specific protocols (e.g. HTTP/1.x, HTTP/2.x, etc…) and supports multiple programming paradigms. ServiceTalk is intended to provide a common and extensible networking abstraction on top of a lower-level networking framework (e.g. Netty). Netty is a great low-level networking framework, but when used for service-to-service communication it presents a few opportunities for improvement. Fully asynchronous and requires knowledge of EventLoop threading model. Executing CPU-intensive or "blocking" code requires manual thread hops. Subtle out-of-order execution of tasks when code executes both on and off the EventLoop thread. APIs are not tailored towards common application use cases (e.g. request/response, RPC, etc..) The asynchronous programming paradigm presents a barrier to entry in scenarios where vertical scalability is not a primary concern. -

After executing a method, it returns a graph containing all possible register and class values for every execution path. It works even if some values are unknown, such as file and network I/O. For example, any if or switch conditional with an unknown value results in both branches being taken. Analyzes the execution graphs from smalivm and applies optimizations such as constant propagation, dead code removal, unreflection, and some peephole optimizations. These are fairly simple, but when applied together repeatedly, they'll decrypt strings, remove reflection, and greatly simplify code. It does not rename methods and classes. -
