    OSS-Fuzz

    OSS-Fuzz

OSS-Fuzz - continuous fuzzing for open source software

OSS-Fuzz is a large-scale fuzz testing platform developed by Google to improve the security and reliability of widely used open source software. Fuzz testing is a proven method for uncovering programming errors such as buffer overflows and memory leaks, which can lead to severe security vulnerabilities. By leveraging guided in-process fuzzing, Google has already identified thousands of issues in projects like Chrome, and this initiative extends the same capabilities to the broader open source community. OSS-Fuzz integrates modern fuzzing engines with sanitizers and runs them at scale in a distributed environment, providing automated testing and continuous monitoring. The platform supports multiple programming languages including C/C++, Rust, Go, Python, Java/JVM, and JavaScript, ensuring wide coverage across critical open source projects.

    OpenAI-Java

    OpenAI-Java

    OpenAI Api Client in Java

OpenAI-Java is the official Java client library provided by OpenAI for interacting with the OpenAI API. It is designed to make it easier for Java applications to call endpoints like chat completions, embeddings, function calling, streaming, and other model services using idiomatic Java patterns. You configure the client (often via environment variables or system properties), then build parameter objects (e.g. ChatCompletionCreateParams) and invoke methods like client.chat().completions().create(...) to send requests in a type-safe way. The library also supports streaming APIs, where the response arrives in chunks, using helpers like ChatCompletionAccumulator to accumulate partial responses into a full object. For complex use cases (e.g. structured outputs, function calling), it provides schema support, JSON annotations, and schema validation.

    PermissionsDispatcher

    PermissionsDispatcher

A declarative API to handle Android runtime permissions

PermissionsDispatcher provides a simple annotation-based API to handle runtime permissions. This library lifts the burden that comes with writing a bunch of check statements whether permission has been granted or not from you, in order to keep your code clean and safe. PermissionsDispatcher introduces only a few annotations, keeping its general API concise. Annotate a method that explains why the permissions are needed. It passes in a PermissionRequest object which can be used to continue or abort the current permission request upon user input. Annotate a method that is invoked if the user doesn't grant the permissions. Annotate a method that is invoked if the user chose to have the device "never ask again" about permission. Now generated functions become much more concise and intuitive than Java version!

    Pkl

    Pkl

A configuration as code language with rich validation and tooling

pkl is a purpose-built configuration-as-code language developed by Apple that combines declarative structure, validation, and tooling to improve over traditional configuration formats like JSON, YAML, or Plists. Its goal is to let you write configuration logic (modules, imports, conditions, defaults) while still producing static outputs suitable for tools that expect JSON, YAML, or other formats. Configurations in Pkl are type-safe and support validation constraints (e.g. bounds, relations) so many errors can be caught before deployment. The language is embeddable, meaning it can run inside applications (Java, Swift, Go, etc.) to load configuration dynamically with the same safety guarantees. There’s also code generation support: writing Pkl modules can generate matching classes or data structures in target languages (Swift, Go, Java, Kotlin) so runtime config and statically typed code stay in sync.

    RE2/J

    RE2/J

linear time regular expression matching in Java

RE2/J is a high-performance regular expression engine implemented in pure Java as a port of Google’s C++ RE2 library. Unlike traditional regex engines such as Java’s java.util.regex, PCRE, or Perl’s implementation—which rely on backtracking and can suffer from catastrophic exponential runtimes—RE2/J guarantees linear-time matching relative to input size. It achieves this efficiency by simulating all possible matches in a single pass using a nondeterministic finite automaton (NFA), ensuring predictable and safe performance even with complex patterns. This makes RE2/J ideal for applications that must handle user-supplied regular expressions securely without the risk of denial-of-service through regex backtracking. While it omits some advanced features like backreferences and certain Java regex options, it supports the vast majority of practical expressions used in production code. RE2/J thus provides a reliable, safe, and scalable alternative for developers.

    RIBs

    RIBs

    Uber's cross-platform mobile architecture framework

RIBs is the cross-platform architecture framework behind many mobile apps at Uber. The name RIBs is short for Router, Interactor and Builder, which are core components of this architecture. This framework is designed for mobile apps with a large number of engineers and nested states. Shared architecture across iOS and Android. Build cross-platform apps that have similar architecture, enabling iOS and Android teams to cross-review business logic code. Testability and Isolation. Classes must be easy to unit test and reason about in isolation. Individual RIB classes have distinct responsibilities like routing, business, view logic, creation. Plus, most RIB logic is decoupled from child RIB logic. This makes RIB classes easy to test and reason about independently. Tooling for developer productivity. RIBs come with IDE tooling around code generation, memory leak detection, static analysis and runtime integrations.

    Regex

    Regex

Generate matching and non matching strings based on regex patterns

Generate matching and non-matching strings. This is a java library that, given a regex pattern, allows to generation of matching strings. Iterate through unique matching strings. Generate not matching strings. Follow the link to Online IDE with created project: JDoodle. Enter your pattern and see the results. By design a+, a* and a{n,} patterns in regex imply an infinite number of characters should be matched. When generating data, that would mean values of infinite length might be generated. It is highly doubtful anyone would require a string of infinite length, thus I've artificially limited repetitions in such patterns to 100 symbols when generating random values. Use a{n,m} if you require some specific number of repetitions. It is suggested to avoid using such infinite patterns to generate data based on regex.

    RoaringBitmap

    RoaringBitmap

A better compressed bitset in Java

Bitsets, also called bitmaps, are commonly used as fast data structures. Unfortunately, they can use too much memory. To compensate, we often use compressed bitmaps. Roaring bitmaps are compressed bitmaps which tend to outperform conventional compressed bitmaps such as WAH, EWAH or Concise. In some instances, roaring bitmaps can be hundreds of times faster and they often offer significantly better compression. They can even be faster than uncompressed bitmaps.

    Roboelectric

    Roboelectric

    Android unit testing framework

Robolectric is the industry-standard unit testing framework for Android. With Robolectric, your tests run in a simulated Android environment inside a JVM, without the overhead of an emulator. Running tests on an Android emulator or device is slow! Building, deploying, and launching the app often takes a minute or more. That’s no way to do TDD, there must be a better way. Robolectric is a framework that brings fast and reliable unit tests to Android. Tests run inside the JVM on your workstation in seconds. Robolectric is built using Gradle. Both IntelliJ and Android Studio can import the top-level build.gradle file and will automatically generate their project files from it. Robolectric supports running tests against multiple Android API levels. The work it must do to support each API level is slightly different, so its shadows are built separately for each. If you would like to live on the bleeding edge, you can try running against a snapshot build.
