Zapret is an open source, cross-platform tool designed to help users bypass and evade Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)-based traffic blocking and censorship systems. Rather than acting as a traditional proxy or VPN, it works by manipulating network packets and traffic streams locally to confuse or disrupt DPI mechanisms used by ISPs and network filters, making it possible to access restricted websites and services without relaying traffic through third-party servers. Zapret implements multiple strategies including desynchronizing DPI inspection, packet modification, and protocol manipulation to make network traffic less recognizable or harder for DPI systems to classify reliably. It supports deployment on a variety of operating systems including traditional Linux systems, embedded devices like routers running OpenWRT, and has partial support for FreeBSD, OpenBSD, macOS, and Windows. -

DSVPN is a Dead Simple VPN, designed to address the most common use case for using a VPN. Runs on TCP. Works pretty much everywhere, including on public WiFi where only TCP/443 is open or reliable. Uses only modern cryptography, with formally verified implementations. Small and constant memory footprint. Doesn't perform any heap memory allocations. Small (~25 KB), with an equally small and readable code base. No external dependencies. Works out of the box. No lousy documentation to read. No configuration file. No post-configuration. Run a single-line command on the server, a similar one on the client and you're done. No firewall and routing rules to manually mess with. Doesn't leak between reconnects if the network doesn't change. Blocks IPv6 on the client to prevent IPv6 leaks. Works on Linux (kernel >= 3.17), macOS and OpenBSD, as well as DragonFly BSD, FreeBSD and NetBSD in client and point-to-point modes. Adding support for other operating systems is trivial. -

websocketd is the WebSocket daemon. It takes care of handling the WebSocket connections, launching your programs to handle the WebSockets, and passing messages between programs and web-browser. If you can run your program from the command line, you can write WebSocket endpoints. Just read incoming text from stdin and write outgoing text to stdout. Messaging is simple. Each inbound WebSocket connection runs your program in a dedicated process. Connections are isolated by process. Available for Linux, OSX, Windows, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and Solaris. HPN-SSH is a series of performance patches for OpenSSH. By addressing network limitations and CPU limitations significant throughput performance can be realized. Gains of close to two orders of magnitude are possible on long fat network paths. The official git repo is now available at http://github.com/rapier1/openssh-portable. A multi-platform universal log collector and forwarder
NXLog is a modular, multi-threaded, high-performance log management solution with multi-platform support. In concept it is similar to syslog-ng or rsyslog but is not limited to unix/syslog only. It can collect logs from files in various formats, receive logs from the network remotely over UDP, TCP or TLS/SSL . It supports platform specific sources such as the Windows Eventlog, Linux kernel logs, Android logs, local syslog etc. Writing and reading logs to/from databases is also supported. The collected logs can be stored into files, databases or forwarded to a remote log server using various protocols. The old BSD Syslog and the newer IETF syslog standard is fully supported by NXLog in addition to Snare, XML, JSON, GELF, KVP, CSV and custom formats. A key concept in NXLog is to be able to handle and preserve structured logs. No need to convert everything to syslog and parse these logs again at the other side. It has powerful message filtering, log rewrite and conversion capabilities. -

ARecordUpdater is an application that automatically updates A-Records for certain hosts. This update client keeps your hostname’s IP address up-to-date. If you have a dynamic IP address which changes periodically (monthly, weekly or even daily), then this can make it difficult or impossible to connect to services at home, like remote desktop or FTP. Using ARecordUpdater allows you to make sure you can always reach your home network, because it makes sure that your hostname is always up-to-date with the latest IP address. The update client can be run using a cron job to automate the process. So once you have it properly configured you don’t have to worry about it; you only need to remember your hostname to reach your files and services. Currently 3 hosts are supported: - one.com - eurohost.com - antagonist.nl ARecordUpdater doesn't use its own timer. It's better to use a cron job, so it uses less memory. Written in Java and runs on any machine with Java installed. -
