    Caddy

    Caddy

Powerful, enterprise-ready, open source web server w/ automatic HTTPS

Caddy is a powerful, extensible, enterprise-ready server platform that uses TLS by default. Everything you would require in your infrastructure, from TLS certificate renewals and OCSP stapling, to reverse proxying and ingress, Caddy simplifies it all. Its modular architecture lets you do more with just a single static binary that compiles for any platform. Caddy is the only web server that uses HTTPS automatically and by default. It automatically renews TLS certificates, staples OCSP responses and more. Though used mostly as an HTTPS server, Caddy can be used to run Go applications, offering automated documentation, graceful on-line config changes via API and more to these apps. Caddy is very extensible, with a powerful plugin system unlike any other web server.

    Cowboy

    Cowboy

Small, fast, modern HTTP server for Erlang/OTP

Cowboy is a small, fast, modern HTTP server for Erlang and OTP applications. It provides a complete HTTP stack while keeping the codebase compact and optimized for low latency and low memory usage. Cowboy supports routing, request dispatching, HTTP handlers, REST handlers, WebSocket connections, and long-lived streaming-style interactions. Because it uses Ranch for connection management, it can be embedded directly inside larger Erlang systems rather than deployed only as a separate web server. The project is well suited for real-time systems, APIs, messaging infrastructure, telecom-style applications, and fault-tolerant services that benefit from the Erlang runtime. Cowboy is a strong choice when developers need an efficient HTTP layer that fits naturally into actor-based, concurrent Erlang architectures.

    Gunicorn

    Gunicorn

WSGI HTTP Server for UNIX, fast clients and sleepy applications

Gunicorn 'Green Unicorn' is a Python WSGI HTTP Server for UNIX. It's a pre-fork worker model. The Gunicorn server is broadly compatible with various web frameworks, simply implemented, light on server resources, and fairly speedy. You can run Gunicorn by using commands or integrate with popular frameworks like Django, Pyramid, or TurboGears. For deploying Gunicorn in production see Deploying Gunicorn. After installing Gunicorn you will have access to the command line script gunicorn. Gunicorn also provides integration for Django and Paste Deploy applications. Gunicorn will look for a WSGI callable named application if not specified. So for a typical Django project. Frameworks such as Pyramid and Turbogears are typically configured using Paste Deployment configuration files. If you would like to use these files with Gunicorn, there are two approaches. As a server runner, Gunicorn can serve your application using the commands from your framework, such as pserve or gearbox.
